Tyler Glasnow, the right-handed Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, made his second rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday as he makes a comeback from a two-month stint on the injured list due to inflammation in his right shoulder.
Glasnow pitched 2 1/3 innings (66 pitches, 37 strikes) against the Sacramento Rivercats on Friday, giving up five runs on seven hits, walking one, and striking out three. He has a 10.38 ERA in his two rehab appearances so far.

‘Trade Him’ — Fans React As Tyler Glasnow’s Rehab Stats Come to Light
When baseball analyst Blake Harris put up Glasnow’s numbers on X, fans shared their thoughts, and the most echoed sentiment was to trade the player before the deadline on July 31.

One Dodgers fan kept it simple and said, “Trade him.”

Another fan wrote, “Yikes! Really wish we kept Pepiot 😞.” Glasnow was acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in December 2023 in exchange for Ryan Pepiot, a pitching prospect, who now plies his trade as the starting pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays.

One baseball fan even proposed a trade for Miami Marlins pitcher Sandy Alcántara. “A straight-up trade for Sandy,” the fan said. Alcántara remains the marquee arm on the trade market, with his contract and pedigree making him one of the most sought-after starters.

One X user, however, disagreed with fans who were asking for Glasnow to be traded based on his recent performances and commented,” He’s been out for a few months, and fans expect him to have ace-type stuff right away, lol. It’ll take some time. I’m just glad he’s getting closer to returning. We definitely need him.”
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts stated last week that Glasnow would require at least three minor league rehab starts before returning to the major league rotation.
Glasnow had a 4.50 ERA across five starts (18 innings) this season before the shoulder issue. The injury forced the 2024 All-Star to leave his fifth start of the season, against the Pirates at Dodger Stadium on April 27, after just one inning. Glasnow made some mechanical adjustments to his delivery this past offseason, which he believes may have caused the shoulder issues.
The pitcher landed on the 15-day injured list on April 28 with right shoulder inflammation and was later transferred to the 60-day IL. Over his career dating back to 2016, Glasnow has never pitched a full season. His 134 innings pitched in 22 starts last year were a career-high.
