A group consisting of A-Rod, Marc Lore, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and others is the majority owner of the teams after acquiring stakes worth over $1.2 billion from the team’s past owner, Glen Taylor. Besides his multiple ventures with A-Rod Corp., Rodriguez also owns two real estate and construction companies that control a substantial amount of assets across 16 states in the USA.

Rodriguez was part of a star-studded guest list for the Sport Beach event organized by Stagwell Global on the sidelines of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, France.
There, A-Rod met with some of the biggest stars in the sports industry, which also included a surprise encounter with Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz, A-Rod’s good friend and rival from his big league days.
Rodriguez shared the frame with Ortiz on a bright, sunny morning alongside a beautiful beachfront and uploaded the image to his Instagram story. The caption read, “Look who I found, @davidortiz.”
Besides Ortiz, Rodriguez also met with WNBA legend Candace Parker, lacrosse player Paul Rabil, NBA star Carmelo Anthony, women’s tennis legend Serena Williams, elite distance runner Sir Mo Farah, and many more sporting stars.
