Former New York Yankees infielder Alex Rodriguez retired from the big leagues in 2016 and since then has turned himself into a successful businessman. With A-Rod Corp, a company he founded in 1996, Rodriguez has diversified his investment portfolios manifold. One of his biggest investments will soon come to fruition when he, alongside his business partner Marc Lore, will become the majority owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lynx.

Rodriguez also founded a real estate and construction company, which is touted to control assets over $1 billion in over 16 states of the USA. Despite his busy lifestyle, A-Rod never fails to take time out for his loved ones, especially his daughters, Natasha (Tashi) and Ella, whom he shares with his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. Tashi is pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan, while Ella is a senior in high school.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in Apr 2024, Rodriguez reflected on his daughter’s interests in theater and music and further shared the news about her joining the university’s music program.

He said, “She’s in the musical theater program. … She’s doing fantastic; she’s really happy. She’s really excited because [the play she’s in is] bilingual, and she gets to sing a little bit in English and Spanish.”

Furthermore, A-Rod compared Tashi to himself and stated that, “She has a sense of friends and which bus to take, as well as her gym and which Starbucks [to go to]. So she’s very much like me. She’s very routine-oriented. I feel like she’s in a good place right now.”

A-Rod Hosted Josh Harris on the Latest Episode of ‘The Deal.’

Besides his many business ventures, A-Rod is also a podcast host, which airs on Bloomberg Originals. His latest guest on ‘The Deal’ was Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris, who extensively discussed the role of private and institutional equity in today’s fast-paced major sporting leagues.

Rodriguez shared a snippet from the latest episode in an Instagram post with a caption that read, “Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris explains the role private equity has played in shaping the evolution of sports.”

On Wednesday night, A-Rod saw his team, the Timberwolves, lose the WCF to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but despite this, he kept the morale high and praised either team for an engaging series. He will be hopeful of the T-Wolves coming back stronger in the next season and maybe finally advancing to the NBA Finals after back-to-back exits at the penultimate stage.
