After Last Year’s All-Star Snub, Francisco Lindor Gets Heartwarming Surprise From Daughters Upon 2025 Selection

On Wednesday, New York Mets superstar Francisco Lindor was named the starter at the shortstop position for the NL All-Stars. This was a significant achievement for the switch-hitter after he was snubbed from the selection last year.

This will be Lindor’s fifth All-Star selection of his professional baseball career in the big leagues and the first since the 2019 MLB season.

Francisco Lindor Receives an Endearing Surprise From His Daughters After All-Star Selection

After the news about the All-Star starters broke out, Lindor received an endearing surprise from his daughters, Kalina Zoe and Amapola Chloe, upon reaching home after game day against the Milwaukee Brewers at Citi Field on Wednesday.

Both girls welcomed their All-Star father with a self-made poster with ‘Congrats, All-Star (Papa)’ written on it. Lindor’s wife, Katia, shared some snaps and videos on her Instagram story showcasing the warm embrace between the Mets star and his daughters upon seeing the loving poster.

She captioned one of those stories, “We had an arts ‘n crafts project waiting at home for our All-Star after his game.”

This is Lindor’s fifth full season with the Mets and the first time he has received an All-Star selection with the ballclub from Queens. His previous four All-Star selections came with the Cleveland Guardians from 2015 to 2020.

The 31-year-old has been named on the All-MLB second team thrice and has won two Gold Gloves and four Silver Slugger awards.

Lindor’s wife also celebrated his first All-Star selection as a starter of the Midsummer Classic by sharing a loving Instagram post on Wednesday. She captioned the post, “Patience, resilience, and consistency. 10 years in the big leagues, 5th All-Star selection, and 1st as a starter. The best is yet to come. So proud of you @lindor12bc!”

Lindor is having a phenomenal season with the Mets in both departments of the game. While the Puerto Rican has produced some razzle-dazzle moments with his defense in the infield, he has been equally consistent with his at-bats at the plate.

He has been one of the many reasons the Mets are doing so well in the current campaign. They are in the second spot of the NL East standings, just 1.5 games behind the leaders, the Philadelphia Phillies.

He has a .261 batting average, with 17 home runs, 46 RBIs, and .784 OPS in 86 games this season. He has amassed a total of 90 hits in 345 at-bats, which includes 16 extra-base hits. He is projected to hit over 30 home runs and register over 80 RBIs in this campaign.

The Mets completed a series win against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday and will now welcome the New York Yankees to Queens for a three-game Subway series starting Friday.
