‘Gotta Get My S— Together ASAP!!’ — Miami Dolphins’ Terron Armstead Reflects on Week 12

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The quadriceps injury that kept Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead out of the conclusion of his teams’ Week 12 win over the New York Jets noticeably impacted his performance while he was in the game, Armstead suggested on social media Tuesday.

Armstead’s comments came in response to a Tweet by Dolphins Wire’s Omar Kelly that stated that Arnstead “wasn’t his usual self” and “looked sloppy vs the Jets,” likely because he entered the game already banged up.

Armstead’s response?

“This is accurate! Man I was definitely sloppy in this game and that’s unacceptable! Gotta get my s— together asap!! I will put the work in and be better out there for my team this weekend! 🐬💙”

Injury Update for Miami Dolphins LT Terron Armstead

Armstead’s comments suggest that he intends to play Sunday against the Washington Commanders — which was far from certain when Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel spoke to reporters on Monday.

“He has had his fill of watching football,” McDaniel said. “So he’s going to be pressing me hard to play this week, I know. For me, I see it as week-to-week injury, so we’re going to have to find a middle ground.

“But again, these are healthy things that I would much rather prefer, as opposed to trying to convince someone that they are capable of playing,” he added. “We’ll see how that progresses. But as you guys have seen, I wasn’t just BS’ing when I was saying that I was very happy with the depth and how many NFL linemen we have on our football team.

“I think we’ve shown that we’ve been able to operate at a high level with all sorts of various alignments, and that’s to the credit of a lot of players and coaches and the personnel department on top of that. It could shake out a lot of different ways, but that’s what the fun of December is, right?”

If Armstead cannot go, Kendall Lamm will presumably be the next man up. The only reason there’s any doubt about it? Lamm is dealing with an injury of his own (back).

Armstead has missed time this year with back, ankle, knee, and now quadriceps injuries.
