Miami Dolphins Injury Update: Will Raheem Mostert Play vs. Tennessee Titans?

The Miami Dolphins should have their full complement of running backs Monday against the Tennessee Titans as Raheem Mostert's health continues to improve.

It’s certainly not the only reason, but it’s also not a coincidence that the Miami Dolphins‘ running game has been stuck in the mud the last two weeks with Raheem Mostert out.

But expect to see improvement on the ground Monday night against the Tennessee Titans. particularly if Mostert returns after missing the previous two games with a chest injury.

    Miami Dolphins Practice Report

Mostert on Thursday participated in his fifth straight practice, and, barring a setback, all signs point toward the 2023 Pro Bowler being back in the lineup for Mike McDaniel’s offense as soon as Week 4. Mostert told reporters Friday that he’s optimistic he’ll play Monday.

UPDATED (Sept. 28): The Dolphins have listed Mostert as questionable to play on their final injury report of the week.

De’Von Achane would surely be thrilled. He probably could use a breather after touching the ball on 43 of the Dolphins’ 131 offensive snaps the previous two weeks.

Dolphins running backs since Week 2 have averaged just 3.5 yards per carry. Mostert, who has averaged 5.2 yards per carry over his career, should help that.

While Mostert was at practice Friday, the Dolphins’ offense did have a notable absence, per the South Florida Sun Sentinel: wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Why? It wasn’t immediately clear. Hill practiced fully Thursday and gave no indication during his post-practice news conference that his availability for the Titans game is at all in doubt.

“It’s going to be a crazy game Monday night,” Hill said Thursday. “I’m looking forward to it. Obviously today I feel pretty strong [with] what we did as an offense. Everything looked the way it normally looked and it normally felt. So it was fun today, man.”

Meanwhile, tackle Terron Armstead and cornerback Kendall Fuller remain in concussion protocol, and linebacker David Long Jr. is still hampered by a hamstring injury.
