Miami Dolphins Practice Report, Injury Update: Latest on Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson Jr., and Terron Armstead

The Miami Dolphins need all the help they can get with Tua Tagovailoa out. Wednesday's practice and injury report was a step in the right direction.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Tua Tagovailoa aside, the Miami Dolphins are as healthy as they have been all season on offense.

Several key Dolphins players returned to practice for the first day of Seattle Seahawks prep Wednesday. Whether they all play Sunday? Remains to be seen.

Terron Armstead and Calais Campbell were the only players not spotted at Dolphins practice Wednesday, but they often get veteran rest days to start the week.

Everyone else on the active roster was accounted for, including running backs Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr., guard Rob Jones, and wide receiver Malik Washington — all of whom missed part or all of the Buffalo Bills game.

Mostert has been dealing with a chest injury suffered in Week 1. Former Chargers team doctor David Chao said last week that he believes Mostert suffered a sternoclavicular joint sprain and seems unlikely to play in Week 3.

But Mostert “is progressing each day,” per Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. “We’ll see an uptick and see how he responds so we can further uptick.”

Armstead hurt his shoulder midway through Thursday night’s game and tried to fight through it before leaving the game for good after 46 snaps.

Armstead “is good,” McDaniel said. “He’s our captain for a reason. … Not overly concerned [about] anything at all, long-term. This is a day-to-day situation that we feel pretty good about it.”

Wilson was ruled out late in the Bills game with an oblique injury. He didn’t have a carry in the game but did have two catches for 12 yards in 11 snaps.

Jones had a shoulder injury last Thursday and missed the game’s final 36 plays. Lester Cotton took over and finished out the game.

The best news of the day? The return of Malik Washington to practice.

Washington was inactive for the first two games of the season with a quadriceps injury, and the Dolphins could certainly have used him. Dolphins quarterbacks have a 0.0 passer rating when targeting receivers other than Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle.
