After being forced to make several tough decisions this offseason, the Miami Dolphins are shifting their focus to the 2024 NFL Draft. While the Dolphins were able to fill multiple voids on the roster in free agency, there are still several questions remaining in Miami.

As Miami’s front office and coaching staff continue to prepare for the 2024 NFL Draft, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa showed off his impressive physique at a recent event. Tagovailoa discussed his contract situation and his offseason regimen that has helped him lose weight. All of that and more in today’s Dolphins news!

Why Miami Is So Important to Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa

Tagovailoa met with reporters during his foundation’s annual luau, which has raised $800,000 for youth programs over the last three years. Miami’s quarterback discussed several topics, including why the city has become so important to him.

Tagovailoa told Pro Football Network’s Adam H. Beasley he is honored and grateful that Miami is the city that chose him to be their quarterback.

Slimmer Tagovailoa Talks Contract, Offseason Regimen

According to Beasley, Tagovailoa appeared noticeably slimmer at the event. While Tagovailoa didn’t speak about his weight loss, he did discuss his offseason regimen and work with former Dolphins quarterback John Beck.

Tagovailoa also stated that he will not hold out of any offseason workouts or training camp, despite not signing a contract extension with the Dolphins just yet.

Former Dolphins DT Christian Wilkins Opens Up on Tagovailoa – ‘We Kinda Had Similar Stories’

Although Christian Wilkins departed Miami to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency, the star defensive tackle had nice things to say about his former team.

Wilkins was asked about Tagovailoa’s rank among quarterbacks and if he is overrated. Wilkins actually praised Tagovailoa and discussed how he had a front-row seat to seeing Miami’s QB mature and grow into the player that he is today.

While the Dolphins have a promising trio of edge rushers on their roster, they could look for help in the 2024 NFL Draft. Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips are recovering from season-ending injuries and certainly won’t be rushed back onto the field.

Penn State pass rusher Chop Robinson is a freak athlete with a ton of upside that Miami could be willing to take a chance on with one of their early draft picks.

Dolphins starting left tackle Terron Armstead is returning for one more season in Miami. Yet, his future beyond next season is questionable, at best. Therefore, the Dolphins should look to select his replacement in the 2024 NFL Draft.

According to scouts on opposing teams, they believe Miami will select an offensive lineman early in this month’s draft and take advantage of a stacked group at the position.
