Valdes-Scantling Betting Trends and Stats

Valdes-Scantling was targeted a career-high 81 times last season but has just seven targets in three games this season.

Valdes-Scantling Best Bet

There is not enough of a reason to support playing a prop bet on MVS right now. Three games into the season, he has five catches for just 98 yards. He has no TD receptions, and after having just two touchdowns last season, it might be best to avoid any touchdown props for Valdes-Scantling.

And yet, I see an opportunity to pick a winner on at least one of Valdes-Scantling’s props tonight. While he does have less than 100 total receiving yards this season, keep in mind he had a 50-yard touchdown catch last week wiped out by an illegal formation penalty.

And while MVS only has five receptions, two of them have gone for 30 or more yards. For his career, he’s averaging over 17 yards a reception (17.3), and back in 2020 with the Packers, Valdes-Scantling led the NFL in yards per reception (20.9).

He may not get his number called a lot, but MVS can make the most of his chances. So I predict at least one 15-yard catch for Valdes-Scantling tonight.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling Best Bet: Over longest reception of 14.5 yards  (-115 at DraftKings)
