Rams Offense

A strong offense has been the calling card for head coach Sean McVay since he arrived in Los Angeles before the 2017 season. In the two seasons prior to McVay’s arrival, the Rams ranked dead last in the league in total offense.

In seven seasons under McVay, the Rams have ranked 11th or better in total offense six times. Assuming the hamstring injury quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered in training camp isn’t a major issue, the weapons remain for another solid offensive season.

Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua form arguably the best wide-receiver duo in the league, while running back Kyren Williams rushed for over 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023.

The biggest offseason moves by the Rams offensively were on the line, where they signed guards Jonah Jackson and Kevin Dotson, both whom are projected to start.

Rams Defense

For the Rams to truly compete for more than just a playoff berth, it would figure that an improved defense would be important. Last season, the Rams ranked 20th in total defense, their worst ranking since 2015. In addition, they ranked 19th in scoring defense, just one season after they ranked 21st in that category.

The Rams attempted to address the defensive backfield this offseason, signing cornerback Tre’Davious White and safety Kamren Curl.

One Betting Trend To Know

The Rams were one of the league’s best teams to be on as a bettor in 2023, finishing 11-6-1 (including playoffs) against the spread. This included a 7-1 ATS mark over their final eight games, including the postseason.

While the early part of their 2024 schedule is challenging with three of their first four games on the road, how the Rams did against the spread a season ago is worth following early on, just to see if they can stay close with their opponents on the road.

Best Bet for Rams in 2024

This Rams team has made the playoffs in five of their seven seasons under head coach Sean McVay, posting at least 10 wins in all of those five playoff seasons.

So, while getting the Rams at odds of -110 to go over 8.5 wins is also a good bet, this team semes like a near lock to make the playoffs once again. So, take the +100 odds and enjoy.
