The NFL season has only just ended, but the preparation ahead of the next campaign is now reaching an important stage. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be looking to successfully defend the Super Bowl title that they won at the Raymond James Stadium this year, but there will be increased challenges from a number of leading franchises, including the 2019 winners, the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, some of the most coveted prizes will be the player awards that are on offer, and many of the leading sportsbooks, such as the ones in Tennessee that can be found at bet-tn.com, are already offering prices.
NFL Regular Season MVP
One of the most prestigious individual awards that players will be hoping to win in the regular season next term will be the MVP award. Aaron Rodgers was the winner of the regular season MVP award last season, as he enjoyed an excellent campaign with the Green Bay Packers. There is already a clear favorite in the betting when it comes to the 2021 award, as Patrick Mahomes leads the way. Many fans are expecting a fightback from the Chiefs this season, as they were comprehensively beaten in the Super Bowl by the Buccaneers.
Mahomes will be the driving force behind their anticipated resurgence, and there has already been talk that the franchise is aiming for history this term as they look to go the season unbeaten. Rodgers is also prominent in the market, while Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford are also available at competitive prices.

Defensive Rookie of the Year
The Defensive Rookie of the Year is another award that is coveted for players that have just entered the league. The award is handed out on the eve of the Super Bowl, with the votes for the player that should win the award cast just after the regular season has finished. Chase Young was the winner of this award last season, and there is expected to be fierce competition to follow the 22-year-old. Micah Parsons is the current star at the top of the betting.
Parsons joined the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft, as he was picked 12th overall. He has already won a stack of awards during his college career, including the Cotton Bowl Defensive MVP and Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year, both in 2019. Kwity Paye and Jaelan Phillips are both also prominent in the market.
Offensive Rookie of the Year
As well as the defensive award, the offensive Rookie of the Year award also looks to be a competitive betting market throughout the season. Justin Herbert was the recipient of this award in 2020 after an impressive first season in the NFL with the Los Angeles Chargers. Trevor Lawrence is already heavily fancied to follow in his footsteps and win the award in 2021.
The 21-year-old quarterback was selected first overall in the 2021 Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. There is already huge excitement to see how he will perform in the NFL, as he was the CFP National Champion and offensive MVP in 2018 with Clemson. He was also named the ACC Player of the Year in 2020. Justin Fields and Zach Wilson are the leading contenders for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
