The Baltimore Ravens had one of the most heartbreaking ends to their season in recent memory. A dropped catch in the end zone by veteran tight end Mark Andrews effectively ended their season. But the team will strive to keep their window open with Lamar Jackson as their franchise centerpiece.
Over the last couple of years, Baltimore has done a solid job developing the passing game. Since Jackson was drafted, they’ve spent more first-round picks on wide receivers than any team in the league. And according to one analyst, that trend might continue when the 2026 NFL Draft rolls around.

Lamar Jackson Needs More Weapons as Baltimore Ravens Eye Super Bowl Return
Last season, Jackson had arguably the best year of his career as a passer. He put up career highs in passing yards (4,172), passing touchdowns (41), and passer rating (119.6). As a result, he finished the season in the top spot on PFSN’s QB+ metric.
But even after a big year, the passing game wasn’t as sharp in the postseason, especially during their Divisional Round loss to the Buffalo Bills. Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are two talented pass catchers who complement Jackson’s game.
They’ve continued to build around him by adding veterans like DeAndre Hopkins and rookies like LaJohntay Wester every offseason. However, the latest mock draft from PFSN doesn’t think those additions are enough again.
Projecting Baltimore as one of the AFC’s top teams, the mock draft has them picking 28th overall. Brentley Weissman wants the Ravens to take another elite receiver, Jordyn Tyson.
Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson is pushing for that WR1 spot in the 2026 Rookie Class:

The Arizona State standout has already turned heads in college. Last season, his first with the Sun Devils, the shifty receiver racked up 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns. Weissman is already calling him a “premier talent.”
“His exceptional speed, reliable hands, and precise route running enable him to excel both in the slot and out wide.” For Weissman, this move would be another step in Baltimore’s ongoing effort to strengthen Jackson’s supporting cast.
“Despite the Ravens’ efforts to bolster Lamar Jackson’s supporting cast, they would significantly benefit from adding Tyson. His skills would seamlessly complement and enhance the Ravens’ current receiving corps.”

Bateman, the clear WR2 for Baltimore, is heading into the final year of his contract. With major money tied to Jackson and Flowers, who will be due for an extension, there’s a chance this could be Bateman’s final season with the team.
If that happens, Tyson could be the perfect insurance plan — and maybe even an upgrade in that role.
