Kyle Fuller Trade Rumors: Contending teams could use his services

Kyle Fuller is a popular name among players to potentially be traded ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Where could he land?

Kyle Fuller is one of the more prominent trade names in the NFL at the 2021 trade deadline. After leaving Chicago to reunite with former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, we believed a career resurgence was imminent. However, Fuller has struggled in Denver, and he’s played just 4 total snaps over the past two games, leading to even greater rumblings regarding a move.

Kyle Fuller is an intriguing trade target

The 29-year-old Fuller might be having his worst season as a pro, but he’d be an inexpensive rental option for a contending team as a CB3 or CB4. Depth at defensive back is imperative in a passing league, and the Broncos are filled with names at the position. They do not need Fuller at this point, and it would be foolish not to take the highest bid for the seven-year vet.

It shouldn’t take much for a team to land Fuller. He won’t be a Bronco next season and has played poorly in Denver. However, after seeing the Broncos eat the cap hit for Von Miller, there’s a chance they do the same for Fuller. That would make him an even cheaper monetary option for contending teams.

But who could use Fuller’s services?

Kyle Fuller Landing Spots

There is no shortage of teams that should look to make a move for Fuller, even if just as a depth option. The Broncos may also cut him. If they do, these options remain.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans have lost multiple back-end defenders, but they still find themselves sitting at the top of the AFC. They lost Derrick Henry, so they should be looking to bolster the rest of the roster, especially in the short term.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers’ offense lacks juice, thanks to the ancient clock they have trying to play quarterback. Still, they’re in playoff contention, and this is the last shot they have at the playoffs with their Hall of Fame QB. They should be taking the same avenue as Tennessee, bolstering the team around their flaws.

Green Bay Packers

Jaire Alexander should return before the end of the season, but the Packers are fighting four other incredibly talented teams in the race for the top seed in the NFC. Rasul Douglas is surviving on the outside for them, but they lack depth at the position and struggle in the slot.

I know Fuller is an outside cornerback, but they might look to move rookie Eric Stokes inside for the time being.

Arizona Cardinals

I can’t believe Marco Wilson starting in his rookie season is a sustainable thing. Losing J.J. Watt is a massive blow, as Arizona’s pass rush has helped elevate their back-end production. Adding Fuller could provide a band-aid as they look to push for the top seed and a potential Super Bowl run.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are a prime example of why cornerback depth is so important. They’ve lost everybody back there at points this season and are still without Sean Murphy-Bunting and Carlton Davis. They could use the services of Fuller maybe more than anybody in the short term.
