The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and his crew struggled against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Sunday game. The QB and the team have been attracting a lot of heat for their poor performance, and recently, a former NFL player has joined the critics.
Emmanuel Acho Blasts Justin Herbert and Team for Their Poor Performance
The Jaguars hosted the Chargers on Nov. 16 in the Sunday game, where the hosts dominated and earned a 35-6 win. Credit for this one-sided victory goes not only to the impressive Jaguars’ performance but also to the weak offense of the Chargers and the poor play from their leader, Herbert.
The Chargers came into the field with a three-game winning streak, which came to an end thanks to their struggling offense. The day wasn’t good for their side as they not only suffered a defeat, but their star running back, Kimani Vidal, also sustained a thigh injury during the first half and couldn’t return to the field.
Their QB completed only 10 out of 18 passes for 81 yards with an interception, and with the offensive line failing to protect him properly, he was sacked three times in the game. Eventually, he was pulled during the fourth quarter.
Their performance has been attracting plenty of backlash, including from former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho, who criticised Herbert and the team through his post on X.
Acho called Herbert and the team’s performance awful and highlighted Trey Lance’s replacement of Herbert as QB during the fourth quarter, and noted Trevor Lawrence’s better record against Herbert.
“Awful performance by Justin Herbert and the Chargers. 🤮 Herbert has been pulled for the remainder of the 4th quarter. Trevor Lawrence moves to 3-0 vs. Herbert,” Acho wrote on X.

By the time Lance entered the field, the game had already slipped out of hand, and there was almost no chance of turning the tide to change the result, eventually leaving the Chargers with a bitter defeat.

Indeed, the Chargers’ performance was far from what fans expected from them, and the criticism is obvious. The overall effort from the team, especially Herbert and his offensive unit, was disappointing, but fans are hoping they will improve before they take the field again on November 30 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Neither their offense nor the leader, Herbert, showed such a bad game so far. The 27-year-old player has been doing quite well, ranking number 12 in the PFSN’s QB Impact right now. The Chargers have been solid enough this season, winning seven out of the 11 games, and are second in the AFC West. Hopefully, they’ll regain their momentum for the rest of the season.
