Josh Allen’s Wife Hailee Steinfeld Will Miss Bills’ Playoff Game for 1 Major Commitment

As the Bills are set to face the Jaguars on Sunday, news dropped that QB Josh Allen's wife, Hailee Steinfeld, will not be in attendance.

The Buffalo Bills will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday for a Wild Card matchup at EverBank Stadium in Florida. This will be quarterback Josh Allen’s eighth season in a row in the playoffs. However, this year, his biggest supporter, his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, will not be in attendance due to a major commitment on her calendar.

Why Will Josh Allen’s Wife Miss The Bills Upcoming Playoff Game?

Allen and Steinfeld started secretly dating in the spring of 2023 and got married almost exactly two years later. The two announced during the recent holiday season that they are expecting their first child.

Steinfeld is known to be a staunch supporter of her husband, attending the majority of his games. The “Pitch Perfect” star has always tried to stay out of the spotlight when attending a game, whether home or away, but her presence is often noticed.

However, she is going to miss Allen’s 14th postseason appearance. While Allen will be in Jacksonville, trying to get his team to the Super Bowl, Steinfeld will be in Beverly Hills, California, serving as a presenter at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards.

The awards will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser but there will be more than 40 other stars in attendance to serve as presenters along with Steinfeld. They include such famous names as Amanda Seyfried, Dakota Fanning, Dave Franco, Diane Lane, George Clooney, and Jason Bateman.

The Bills and Allen continue their quest to reach the Super Bowl. Since he was drafted in 2018, he and the Bills have missed the playoffs only once in his rookie season, but they have never advanced beyond the conference championships.

If the Bills defeat the Jaguars on Sunday, it will be a monumental moment, as a notorious stat haunts Allen and his team. Since taking over under center, the Bills are 0-4 in away playoff games. The team as a whole hasn’t won on the road in the postseason in 32 years.

The Bills have never secured a Lombardi Trophy despite a long history of excellence. That history includes four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1991 to 1994. Those losses began with the infamous “wide right” game, in which Buffalo’s kicker missed a game-winning 47-yard field goal, costing the team to the New York Giants.

Allen is consistently one of the best quarterbacks in the league. According to PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, he has an A-, a score of 90.0. In 17 regular-season games, Allen completed 319 passes for 3,668 yards and 25 passing touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He rushed for another 579 yards and an additional 14 touchdowns.
