Josh Allen has had tremendous individual success in his seven seasons under center for the Buffalo Bills. He has thrown for 26,434 yards, 195 touchdowns and 84 interceptions, while completing 63.3% of his pass attempts. The seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft has added 4,142 rushing yards and 65 touchdowns on 759 carries.
He was named the 2024 NFL MVP and has earned two All-Pro selections and three Pro Bowl nods. Despite his strong play, Buffalo has yet to reach a Super Bowl during his tenure. The Bills did, however, advance to the second AFC Championship Game of his career in 2024. A recent report suggested that they could target a four-time Pro Bowl pass rusher to bolster a defensive unit that ranked just 18th, according to PFSN’s Defense+ metric.
Josh Allen’s Bills Listed as Potential Landing Spot for Disgruntled Pass Rusher
The Bills have reached the postseason in each of the past six seasons. However, they have been unable to break through and reach the Super Bowl.
Dan Graziano of ESPN recently suggested that they could look to target disgruntled Cincinnati Bengals star Trey Hendrickson to improve their defense. The NFL insider suggested that a 2026 second-round pick could get the deal done, writing:
“The Bengals have made it clear they don’t want to give away Hendrickson, so I’m not even sure the Bills’ (likely late) second-rounder would be enough. But if the Bengals’ demands drop, I could see Buffalo pouncing to secure the veteran edge rusher it needs to take down Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs. With offseason pickup Joey Bosa already injured, this move would help the Bills’ pass rush add a stronger, healthier option. Hendrickson might not get the new contract of his dreams, but perhaps Bills general manager Brandon Beane could sell him on an improved chance to get to the Super Bowl.”

Hendrickson has been among the best pass rushers in the NFL since signing with the Bengals ahead of the 2021 season.
He has appeared in 65 games over that span, recording 155 total tackles, including 104 solo tackles, 53 total tackles for loss and 57.0 sacks, 112 total quarterback hits, 11 forced fumbles, and 12 passes defended.
Additionally, he has earned Pro Bowl honors in each of those four seasons, as only Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett and Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt have recorded more sacks during that stretch.
Hendrickson earned First-Team All-Pro honors and finished as the Defensive Player of the Year runner-up in 2024 after leading the league with 17.5 sacks.
