New York Jets – Joe Douglas
The New York Jets have officially hired former Philadelphia Eagles VP of player personnel, Joe Douglas. The Jets were persistent in getting their guy and did everything in their power to do so. This will finally put the end to general manager Adam Gase which should be good for Jets fans. The only proposed issue? Will Douglas be a place holder with Gase having the power. This most likely will not be the case but it is something we should all get in to. Douglas and Gase are good together. This is notable in their partnership. The definite fact now is that Le’Veon Bell will be a Jet this season. As most AFC East fans would know, the New York Jets have a head coach in Adam Gase that is known for trading away and not using the running backs he gets. This was a small fear on most social media platforms with reports coming out that Gase did not want to sign Bell and apparently advised against it. Bell is a stud and Gase will eventually realize that he, and the Jets, need Bell in order to succeded next season.
Questions from the podcast team
Do you think that the Joe Douglas signing for the New York Jets mean that Adam Gase is no longer in charge? Or will Douglas take over and make his presence known within the Jets organization? How would you rank the AFC East quarterbacks?
