Jared Goff has enjoyed a fruitful career renaissance after being traded to the Detroit Lions in the 2021 offseason. While the first season was rough, the picks acquired in the Rams’ quest to bring Matthew Stafford to Los Angeles and Goff’s impressive play helped the Lions jumpstart a struggling franchise into a playoff contender.
In his third season with Detroit, Goff passed for 4,575 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He has a 67.3% completion percentage and a 97.9 rating. He helped lead the Lions to the NFC Championship Game, where they lost to the San Francisco 49ers.
With a brand new four-year, $212 million contract extension signed over the summer, Goff appears to be on the verge of some substantial real estate moves. Here’s a look at the quarterback’s properties.

Before Detroit, Goff spent most of his life in California. He was born in Greenbrae, Calif., and attended Marin Catholic High School. Following high school, he signed with and played for the University of California.
During his three seasons at Cal, Goff passed for 12,195 yards, 96 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions. He was drafted with the first overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams.
Considering that timeline, Goff had rarely left California. However, he was traded to the Lions in 2021 for a 2022 first-round pick, a 2023 first-round pick, and a 2021 third-round pick in return for then-Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Although it’s been a few years since his time in Los Angeles, the state of California has never left Goff’s heart. In July this past summer, Goff purchased a $10.5 million Manhattan Beach, Calif., home for “Modern Family” executive producer Danny Zuker.

The house had previously been owned by other well-known athletes, including MLB pitcher Ken Brett and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal.
Then, in Nov. 2023, Goff bought the neighboring property after his LLC paid $8.575 million in an off-market sale. The two properties share a 140-foot property line, but Goff practically doubled his footprint, creating a 20,604-square-foot property.
While Goff should be able to merge the two plots, California law may require the property to have one separate residence if a new structure spans both lots. Both properties feature a house, but the new lot is far more run down than the house bought in 2023.
What Are the House’s Features?
Constructed in the 1980s, the French country-style home has undergone expansions and renovations over the decades. It entails five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and three stories totaling 5,700 square feet.
Wood-beamed ceilings, white-oak floors, and stone flooring are featured throughout the house. It also holds extra-tall ceilings, a large, curved, floating staircase, a gourmet kitchen, and multiple fireplaces.
Some additional features included in the house are perfectly landscaped gardens, a pool and pool house, a spa, and a firepit lounge. There’s also a bar, a barbecue area, a three-car garage, and a library.
The house on the adjacent property was built in 1952 and renovated in 1975. It was sold twice: once in Aug. 1976 for $105,000 and then to Goff in Nov. 2023 for $8,575,000. The two-story home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms while also featuring a pool and fireplace.
While it’s not known what Goff plans on doing with the property, he and his family have quite the space to possibly start building an impressive new home.
