The visit to the Philadelphia high school highlighted Hurts’ growing connection to the Air Jordan brand while paying homage to the NBA legend’s impact on sports and culture. Hurts signed with Jordan Brand last year and joined an elite list of NFL athletes representing the iconic logo, one that includes Dak Prescott, Davante Adams, and Stefon Diggs.

Speaking about the partnership, Hurts acknowledged the weight of representing Jordan’s legacy: “What Jordan has been able to establish and the impact he’s had on sports culture—it means everything. To be able to represent that in this time is great.”

The high school students benefiting from Jordan’s Wings Initiative and the Minds Matter Program were treated to a conversation with Hurts. Cooper Manning, hosting Hurts on his “The Manning Hour” segment for Fox, watched as the QB shared insights and gifted the kids a pair of his new Jordan shoes.

The love between Hurts and Jordan Brand runs deep. Back in May 2024, during a fan Q&A session, Hurts revealed that his go-to cleats—Jordan XI Concords—hold a special place in his game-day routine. “Typically special things happen with the XIs,” Hurts stated.

Hurts’ admiration for the NBA G.O.A.T goes beyond sneakers and sponsorships. The QB has spoken openly about how MJ’s competitive drive and pursuit of greatness inspire him. “I love the desire to win that he had. That’s a hero of mine,” Hurts once said.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni even likened Hurts’ leadership to Jordan’s back in 2023. “To have him out there is like having Michael Jordan… He brings calmness and toughness to the team,” Sirianni said.

Hurts continues to build his legacy, both in football and the community. His tribute to Jordan’s influence reminds fans why he’s a true star, whether through game-changing plays or inspiring acts of kindness. The 26-year-old Eagles quarterback is proving he’s more than just the face of a franchise—he’s a leader for the next generation.
