Isiah Pacheco Injury Update: Latest on the Chiefs RB

Isiah Pacheco hasn't had a huge day, but he was responsible for the Chiefs' one TD scored before leaving the game with a potential head injury.

The Kansas City Chiefs are not having a very Merry Christmas or a happy holiday against the Las Vegas Raiders, and a potential Isiah Pacheco head injury won’t help their offensive cause. What do we know about the injury, and how might it impact an already flawed offense?

Isiah Pacheco Injury Update

Pacheco received a checkdown pass on 2nd-and-14 late in the third quarter. His helmet came off, and as he was slung to the ground, one of his own offensive linemen kneed him in the head as he hit the ground.

Although Pacheco appeared fine as the Chiefs came off the field, he was escorted into the blue medical tent quickly after. But before hitting the tent, the Chiefs’ comedy of errors came up again on the sideline.

He was eventually led into the locker room to be further evaluated for a head injury.

Somehow, Pacheco lost his helmet throughout the course of two plays during the third quarter, with the second impact taking him out of the game.

The broadcast reported that Pacheco will miss the remainder of the game with a concussion.

Potential Fantasy Football Impact of Pacheco’s Injury

One of the few bright spots of the Chiefs’ offense in their matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day has been Pacheco, who got banged up in the later parts of the third quarter.

To give you an idea of how much the Chiefs’ offense has struggled through the first three quarters of action, Pacheco had just 21 total yards on 14 touches before exiting the game.

He did manage to produce a rushing touchdown on a direct snap in the second quarter. If Pacheco is unable to go, then Clyde Edwards-Helaire will see a leading role in the Chiefs backfield for the remainder of Week 16.
