In the wake of the Baltimore Ravens’ playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills last season, emotions ran high following a missed 2-point conversion that sealed the team’s fate.
The drop came from one of their most reliable players, Mark Andrews, and the star tight end immediately drew heavy scrutiny.

The text reflected both empathy and admiration. Likely later elaborated: “Obviously, don’t let one moment dwell on what you’ve always accomplished and what you’re striving for in the future. And him being him, obviously he’s gonna really just take it all in, let the moment happen, and just be a pro.”
He emphasized that Andrews had already processed the moment and moved forward: “At this point now, he’s already moved past it, he’ll be ready for next year, and I feel like y’all gonna really smile when y’all see him out there.”
Andrews, an important figure in Baltimore’s offense, addressed the media after staying quiet following the loss. The veteran tight end leaned on his inner circle and emphasized self-belief: “Really just surrounded myself with good people, not look at the outside noise… and just know the type of player that I am.”
Despite rumors regarding his future, Andrews is back for his eighth season and grateful to still be part of the team. “This is an incredible organization. I’m very thankful to be here,” he said.
Andrews finished last season with 55 receptions for 673 yards and 11 touchdowns in 17 games. The 29-year-old tight end signed a four-year, $56 million contract extension in 2021, and he will be an unrestricted free agent next year.
Likely, now a critical part of the Ravens’ offense himself, enters the final year of his rookie contract after a breakout 2024 season with 42 catches, 477 yards, and six touchdowns. While contract talks loom, he remains grounded: “I don’t try to think about the last year of the deal. I let my agent take care of that with the Ravens front office.”
With Likely stepping up, this could be Andrews’ last year in Baltimore. The three-time Pro Bowler would love to leave with a Super Bowl, and it will be interesting to see how the Ravens will fare this upcoming season.
