With Wild Card Weekend behind us, is there a Monday Night Football game tonight? If not, when is the next time that we get to watch football?
Is there a Monday Night Football game tonight?
This past weekend, the 2020-2021 NFL Playoffs kicked off with three games on both Saturday and Sunday. With the Wild Card round finishing up on Sunday night, there is no Monday Night Football game tonight.
Wild Card action started on Saturday when the Indianapolis Colts took on the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense did not skip a beat since the end of the regular season. They were able to squeak out a close victory 27-24 against Philip Rivers.
Next, we saw the Los Angeles Rams come away with a surprise victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson struggled against the Rams defense, and Jared Goff did just enough for the Rams to come away with the win 30-20.
The nightcap was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Washington Football Team. While the game was closer than the final score indicates, Tom Brady and his plethora of weapons were too much for Washington to handle. They came away with a 31-23 win.
Sunday’s Wild Card Weekend Matchups
Sunday’s games started with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens containing Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans offense. The Ravens proved to be a potential contender in the AFC.
Once Baltimore was finished with the Titans, we got to watch the Chicago Bears get absolutely embarrassed by the New Orleans Saints. The most exciting aspect of this game was the broadcast on Nickelodeon. The Saints came away with a 21-9 victory.
The last game of the weekend was arguably the most exciting. The Cleveland Browns took advantage of a number of turnovers in the first quarter to go up 28-0 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers did their best to make this into a game but ultimately fell short 48-37.
