Is Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell Married?

Kevin O'Connell has spearheaded the Vikings while he's away from home. But who does he turn to when he comes back to his house after games?

Kevin O’Connell is in Season 2 adjusting to life in the twin cities and Minnesota.

He’s currently navigating the Minnesota Vikings through a late playoff push. His team has won five of its last six games before its Monday Night Football divisional showdown with the Chicago Bears. But as O’Connell gains continuous support from Vikings fans, who is his biggest supporter at home?

Details on Kevin O’Connell’s Wife and Marriage

O’Connell is happily married to Leah O’Connell.

The husband and wife are nearly similar in age. Kevin is 38, and Leah is 36. They’ve also been together for more than a decade. Turns out they spent several years dating before officially tying the knot in 2010. They are now in their 13th year of marriage.

The pair even married during Kevin’s professional football playing career. The former NFL quarterback O’Connell had spent time with the New England Patriots in 2008, then the Detroit Lions and the New York Jets in 2009 before walking down the aisle.

After their marriage, O’Connell spent most of 2010 with the Jets. He eventually became the Miami Dolphins’ backup in 2011. His last two playing stops were one more stint with the Jets and then the San Diego Chargers.

The latter team wound up giving O’Connell and his wife a homecoming. O’Connell spent his high school years in nearby Carlsbad, Calif., and attended La Costa Canyon High School.

What Does Leah O’Connell Do for a Living? Was She an Athlete Herself?

Leah holds a professional sales career.

She is a supplement sales specialist for Panacea Scientific. She’s held a sales role there since Oct. 2013, giving her a decade of experience in the career field.

But sales aren’t the only work-related skill on her resume. Leah additionally works as a fitness professional and natural supplement representative for The Bay Club Company. She’s held a role there since Jan. 2013.

Turns out, she’s a fellow San Diego State Aztec just like her husband. And she’s a former athlete as well. She played women’s volleyball for the Aztecs from 2005 to 2009.

The couple is currently raising four children — sons Kaden and Kolton and two girls, Quinn and Callie, the latter born in Nov. 2022.
