IDP Fantasy Football Report: Waiver Wire Pickups and Early Week 12 Fantasy Rankings

In the weekly IDP report, we'll look at waiver wire targets as well as some early fantasy football rankings as we prepare for the playoffs.

Week 11 of football is officially in the books, and it’s time to look ahead for our fantasy football leagues. The IDP report will provide an early look at several waiver wire priorities of varying league sizes, along with preliminary Week 12 IDP rankings.

Since all leagues are different sizes and have IDP requirements, the weekly rankings might be more beneficial than the waiver list. If you have any specific questions, hop into our Discord and ask a question! We hope the waivers go in your favor.

Top Week 12 IDP Waiver Wire Pickups

KJ Henry, DE, Washington Commanders

KJ Henry was not someone highly rated on IDP rookie boards and wasn’t supposed to play much in 2023. After they traded both starting DEs at the deadline, though, Henry is trending up. In his first real playing time of his career (67% snaps in Week 11), Henry hit four tackles and one and a half sacks. Roster him now to see if it continues.

Tuli Tuipulotu, DE, Los Angeles Chargers

Joey Bosa is out again, and that usually means good things for Tuli Tuipulotu. Tuipulotu now has four sacks on the season and has shown solid tackle totals when playing a decent role. The Ravens are a tough matchup, but from there, it’s a lot of average-to-not-great tackles. Expect some blow-up games for Tuipulotu down the stretch run.

Cody Barton, LB, Washington Commanders

Cody Barton has been out for a few weeks with a high ankle sprain with David Mayo filling in as a starting LB in Washington. Barton’s practice window was opened this week — he needs to be rostered now. Even if he’s not activated by Thanksgiving (they play Dallas), he can cover for bye weeks and be a solid play from Week 13 on. Get him now to avoid losing him.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Cleveland Browns

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been up and down this year and in his career. Not when he’s on the field, then he puts up stats. He’s been out there recently, playing about 80% of snaps the last couple of weeks, and has hit seven tackles each of those two games.

Add in the half sack and he’s a very playable LB this week and likely going forward.

Ji’Ayir Brown, S, San Francisco 49ers

Unfortunately, Talanoa Hufanga is done for the year with an ACL tear. If you had Hufanga, consider adding his direct replacement, Ji’Ayir Brown. The third-round rookie safety was a solid prospect coming out and can produce in this role. Brown is one of two fantastic rookie safety adds this week.

Jordan Battle, S, Cincinnati Bengals

Finally, the Bengals made the switch from Nick Scott to Jordan Battle, and Battle immediately made them look smart. Battle posted 11 tackles while playing interchangeably with Dax Hill. If he’s out there, he’s a high-priority add in any DB-required leagues as he’s likely top-24 play weekly.

Top IDP Players To Start in Week 12

Quay Walker, LB, Green Bay Packers

Quay Walker is a must-start again in Week 12. The ceiling without De’Vondre Campbell is evident from the last time the Packers faced the Lions. All Walker did was post a decent little 19-tackle performance in Week 4.

Do not worry about the seven-tackle performance in Week 11, fire him up on Thanksgiving.

Elandon Roberts, LB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Well, that was quite the game last week from Elandon Roberts. He posted 15 total stops vs. Cleveland on 100% of snaps. While the team continues to add LBs (Blake Martinez is the latest), Roberts is the guy. Another backup QB against the Bengals in Week 12 means more short passes and running back touches. Another big game could happen.
