Prospects To Watch Today Include Will Anderson Jr. and Myles Murphy
When the Chicago Bears head to the podium with the first overall pick in the NFL draft, odds are they won’t be looking to take a quarterback. That means some of the players working out today could realistically go first overall.
With Georgia’s Jalen Carter dealing with legal issues, it has completely thrown the top of the draft in flux.
One player who could very easily go first overall is Alabama’s Will Anderson Jr. PFN Draft Analyst Ian Cummings raved about Anderson’s ability throughout the season. And even if the Crimson Tide had what would be an underwhelming season for the organization, Anderson’s play still stood out.
“Anderson’s motor might be his best trait. And when you factor in his burst, agility, strength, and other qualities, that makes him more exciting. Even if he lacks elite size, Anderson is a potential blue-chip prospect and an early frontrunner to be a top-five pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.”

Behind Anderson, another name to keep an eye on is Clemson’s Myles Murphy. A certified first-round talent, Murphy can see his draft stock explode if he has a big day at the Combine.
“Murphy’s all-encompassing profile grants him some projected scheme versatility. At the end of the day, he’s an elite physical talent with a phenomenal combination of burst, power, and play strength. At his maximum projection, he can be a game-wrecker — not just on the edge but on the entire defensive line.”
