AFC South – Play Houston Texans over 8.5 win
The Houston Texans have flown under the radar this offseason, and no one is expecting much from them. In the debut episode of “Sick Fish,” co-host Jason Sarney says that he likes the Texans over 8.5 wins.
During the podcast, it is mentioned by Jason that the Texans have a dynamic passing attack and that could lift them over the 8.5 win total. Deshaun Watson has been a good quarterback in both his years with the Houston Texans. According to Pro Football Reference, Watson has a 14-8 QB record, 45 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions in his 23 career games with Houston. He tore his ACL in practice during his rookie season after going 3-3 for 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Last season he led his team to an 11-5 record and threw for 26 touchdowns, nine interceptions, and 4,165 yards. If Watson can continue to improve and things go right, Jason believes they could easily hit the 9-10 win mark. The Houston Texans could be a team to watch for NFL fans.
AFC East – Fade the entire division
For our main fade of this weeks episode, James mentions that he would fade the AFC East as a whole. He stated that while he can’t count out the New England Patriots, everything is unpredictable. The entire division is unpredictable on its own. The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets have upside, but they could quickly go under their projected total. While the Miami Dolphins are so different every year that it is possible, they steal 5 or more games away this season. The Houston Texans could be a safer bet than the entire AFC East division.
