It’s Week 3 of the preseason, which is officially the final dress rehearsal before the regular season. What have we learned thus far from both the Packers and Bills?

Let’s start with Buffalo, who put a licking on the Chicago Bears last week. Fueled by a loss in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Bills look just as poised to compete for a Super Bowl in 2022. And that’s without seeing quarterback Josh Allen in action.

Honestly, the Bills’ quarterback situation is already set after Mitch Trubisky’s performance against his former team last week. After going 20-28 for 221 yards and a touchdown against his former team, he’s all but taken the No. 2 job from Jake Fromm.

While it has to make head coach Sean McDermott comfortable knowing he has insurance at the quarterback position, what may have him most excited is how his defensive front has played. Gregory Rousseau, Buffalo’s first-round rookie in the 2021 NFL Draft, has looked lights out in his first two outings. Additionally, second-round pick Boogie Basham picked up a sack of his own last week.

Those two should get plenty of playing time today against Green Bay’s offensive line, a unit quarterback Aaron Rodgers wasn’t happy with at practice this week. Rodgers won’t be on the field, but fans should see a little Jordan Love and a lot of Kurt Benkert.
