Green Bay Packers Free Agency Predictions 2024: How Should the Pack Build Around Jordan Love?

The Green Bay Packers have decisions to make in free agency. Here are three Packers free agency predictions, led by signing CB Kendall Fuller.

Fresh off manhandling the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round, followed by giving the San Francisco 49ers all they could handle in the Divisional Round, the future for the Green Bay Packers is as bright as ever.

With a young QB to build around and a young crop of offensive weapons who have seemed to continuously raise their game as the season went on, the Packers are set to be real contenders in a tough NFC for years to come. Let’s take a look at three Packers free agency predictions ahead of an exciting time for the franchise.

Green Bay Packers Free Agency Predictions

From Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers and now Jordan Love — the Packers have been able to find their quarterback of the future nearly seamlessly over the last quarter century. In Love’s first real opportunity as the guy in Green Bay, he led the team to a playoff win, building hope for a historical franchise once again.

It has been a youth movement for the Pack as they head into 2024 as the NFL’s youngest team. With all that young talent, the future is bright, but with that comes the need for some experience and veteran leadership to take them over the top. We look at who may be able to help them there with our three free agency predictions.

Kendall Fuller Adds Talent to Secondary

With Jaire Alexander having an interesting relationship with the team, it may make a lot of sense for the Packers to go out and get another veteran presence at cornerback to play across from Eric Stokes. Even Stokes himself has dealt with injuries and hasn’t quite panned out the way they had hoped, so adding Fuller and his production and experience can’t hurt.

In a league where passing the ball is the main focal point, having multiple athletes on the outside to limit them is paramount. Fuller is entering his ninth season in the NFL and has tallied 16 interceptions during that time. Adding another veteran piece to the defense with ball production will go a long way to help complement a young, growing offense.

Jordan Whitehead Another Big-Play Addition to Secondary

In a defense that features pass rushers and game wreckers like Rashan Gary, Quay Walker, and Kenny Clark, where the Packers could use the most help for that unit belongs in the secondary, which is why a double dip there makes sense.

Adding Jordan Whitehead into the mix with Fuller and the talent there already makes the secondary into a real strength. Whitehead is a playmaker who comes over after a year in New York with the Jets, where he tallied 97 total tackles and four interceptions.

The ability to make tackles, have a nose for the football, and create turnovers is something that could take the Packers over the top in 2024 and beyond.

Re-Sign Jon Runyan Jr. To Keep Experience on Offensive Line

With players such as LT David Bakhtiari not expected to return, keeping a strong offensive lineman who has been a staple on your line in the fold is a good thing for Love and this offense.

The Packers’ offensive line dealt with a lot of injuries last season, forcing the team to get creative as they moved guys around to find the best fits. Runyan was a staple upfront for the team and played nearly every snap in 2023. In 928 plays, Runyan only surrendered two sacks while only committing six penalties.

Veteran presences — like Runyan — sticking around will help guide them into the future as they look to be real threats in the NFC for 2024 and beyond.
