Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward are the top two signal-callers in the 2025 NFL Draft. There is constant debate about which one is a better player and should go higher.
They’re both also in the running to join Malik Nabers with the New York Giants, and the wide receiver has high praise for his potential future teammates.
During one of his latest interviews, Nabers highlighted the quarterbacks’ strengths and the characteristics that make them great.

Malik Nabers Drops Major Praise for Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward
Nabers is among the NFL’s most exciting young players, finishing the 2024 season with 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. His performance was good enough to earn him a trip to the Pro Bowl as a rookie.
The explosive playmaker was asked about Sanders and Ward during his appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, and he did not hesitate to heap praise on both quarterbacks.
“He’s comfortable when he’s back there,” Nabers said about Ward, as Tom Rock of Newsday shared. “He throws the ball in spots you’re not really supposed to throw the ball but he has crazy arm talent. He’s mobile. I’ve seen him come back in some games, I’m like, ‘Nah, this game’s over with,’ and he’s just dottin’. He’s very efficient.”
Discussing Sanders, Nabers said that he’s been watching the Colorado star for a long time, and like Ward, Sanders also has the arm talent needed to succeed. Nabers also appreciated that Sanders allowed his best players to make plays, was fearless, and was constantly focused on winning. The Giants wideout also highlighted Sanders’ impressive leadership qualities.
“I’ve been watching him a long time,” Nabers said about Sanders. “He’s another crazy arm talent. He gives his guys the opportunity to go make plays. He’s not scared and he wants to win, and he’s a leader. From what I’ve heard in that locker room, he’s a great leader.”
The NFL Draft will start on April 24 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. The Giants could have an opportunity to select one of the two quarterbacks with the No. 3 overall pick.
