With the 2025 NFL Draft fast approaching, speculation continues as to which order the next generation of NFL stars will be taken in. The New York Giants are among the teams without a long-term answer at quarterback. But the Giants are at the mercy of both the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, who also need a quarterback and pick ahead of them.
According to PFSN’s Reese Decker, however, the team may opt not to draft a quarterback early, even if the chance presents itself.

Latest PFSN Mock Draft Sends Travis Hunter to the Giants
In his latest three-round Mock Draft for PFSN, Decker has the Giants passing on Shedeur Sanders in favor of his Colorado teammate Travis Hunter. After sending Abdul Carter to the Browns, Sanders is available to New York, but Decker makes the case for waiting on the position.
“Hunter is one of only four blue-chip players in this draft class. As a receiver, Hunter has an exceptional feel for space, separation speed, smooth and efficient change of direction, elite body control, strong and natural hands, and always finds a way to come down with the football. He is a dynamic playmaker who always rises to the occasion.
“On the defensive side, Hunter is equally impressive. A physical and willing tackler, he showcases elite ball skills, sharp instincts, and quick, decisive breaks. Hunter has a knack for making plays regardless of his position.”
Decker then paints the picture of a Giants offense with both Hunter and 2024 first-round receiver Malik Nabers giving defenses nightmares.
“As a Giant, Hunter would join forces with Malik Nabers, who delivered a sensational rookie campaign in 2024, giving the Big Blue two dynamic playmakers on the perimeter. Add in promising second-year talents like tight end Theo Johnson and running back Tyrone Tracy Jr., and suddenly, the Giants are a quarterback away from having a promising young core.”
Giants Pick Up a Quarterback in Round Two
After both the Browns and Giants pass on a quarterback in round one, the Pittsburgh Steelers take the second signal caller off the board, surprisingly opting for Ole Miss prospect Jaxson Dart. Sanders falls into the second round of Decker’s draft and is snapped up by the Browns with the first pick of day two.
That leaves the Giants with a similar predicament as the one they faced in the first round. This time, the team takes a quarterback who may not be the best player available, Alabama product Jalen Milroe. Milroe’s athleticism gives him an enviable ceiling in the NFL, but his inconsistent arm has many doubting his top-level pedigree.
After two rounds, the Giants come away with a new quarterback and a truly generational talent. Some may see the decision to draft Milroe as a reach, but with the long-term future of the team’s quarterback situation somewhat cloudy, the Giants may have to take some shots along the way.
