Giants Legend Eli Manning Drops Sarcastic 3-Word Reaction After Brother, Peyton, Hits a House With Tee Ball Swing

The Memorial Tournament is one of the most anticipated events on the PGA Tour calendar, but before the professionals take center stage, the celebrity-packed Golden Bear Pro-Am offers plenty of memorable moments.

This year, a light-hearted but unforgettable incident involving NFL legend Peyton Manning stole the spotlight and drew a witty response from his brother, Eli Manning.

What Happened at the Golden Bear Pro-Am?

Peyton, known not only for his storied football career but also for his passion for golf, was one of the celebrities teeing off at the Golden Bear Pro-Am on Wednesday, May 28. Paired with current World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, Manning found himself in an amusing situation after an errant tee shot went far off target.

In a moment that quickly made its way to social media, the former NFL quarterback pulled a drive so far left that it struck a house.

Scheffler, standing nearby, couldn’t help but burst into laughter at the wayward shot. The moment might have ended there, but the Manning family’s well-known brotherly rivalry meant it was far from over.

Eli, a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants and Peyton’s younger brother, decided to seize the opportunity for some classic sibling ribbing. Eli reshared a video clip of the mishap, originally posted by Nuclr Golf, and accompanied it with a biting, sarcastic caption.

In just three words, he perfectly summed up his reaction: “I’m so proud!!” The dry humor struck a chord with fans familiar with the duo’s back-and-forth over the years.

Despite the blunder, Peyton remained in good spirits. He later took to Instagram to share photos from the day alongside Scheffler, captioning them: “Great day at the Workday Memorial Pro Am with @scottie.scheffler.”

According to Peyton’s own recounting at the event, he humorously described another shot where he “topped it on one hit. Hit a golf cart. Ball actually kind of bounced backwards toward us, which was nice for the sanction I had to go that far, made a bogey, but nobody would ever know.”

Who Else Participated in the Star-Studded Pro-Am?

The 2025 Golden Bear Pro-Am featured an impressive lineup of celebrities. Other notable participants included Stephen Curry, Larry Fitzgerald, Nick Saban, Ryan Day, Dell Curry, Seth Curry, Andre Iguodala, Anthony Gonzalez, and Brandon Stokley.

Manning started the day with his pairing alongside Scheffler and Aaron Rai, as well as former teammates Anthony Gonzalez and Brandon Stokley.

Meanwhile, Scheffler moved on to begin his campaign at the 2025 Memorial Tournament the next day, May 29. With back-to-back rounds of 70, he ended up in solo fourth place at 4-under after two rounds.

Nick Taylor’s round of 68 saw him share the lead with Ben Griffin at 7-under, while Akshay Bhatia took solo third at 5-under. Sam Burns posted the round of the day with a 65, improving by 11 strokes from his first round.
