The New York Giants will have a tough decision to make when on the clock in late April. Picking third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Giants will have to choose between two top prospects with several potential scenarios possible.
In an odd move, the team has allowed fans to have their say on its first-round pick, inviting them to “Make the Case” for their preferred selection.

Giants Ask Fans for Their Opinions Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft
With the 2025 NFL Draft just weeks away, the Giants will face a tough decision in Round 1. At No. 3, there is likely to be at least one elite prospect on the board and possibly a top quarterback prospect. In an attempt to engage with their fans, the Giants have asked them for their opinions on who the team should pick.
Recently, the Giants posted a picture on social media that featured both Shedeur Sanders and Abdul Carter. The post’s caption simply read, “If it’s Sanders or Carter…. who are you taking?”

The post included a link to a feature on the team’s website called “Make the Case.” The feature takes the team’s projected selections from different Mock Drafts and asks fans for their opinions on which they preferred. In the most recent example, Sanders was projected to the Giants by notable NFL Draft analyst Field Yates. Carter, meanwhile, was sent to Big Blue by Yates’ ESPN colleague Mel Kiper Jr.
Giants Fans React to the Team’s Post
Naturally, there was some disagreement from fans about who the team should take between Carter and Sanders. Many pointed to the value of a franchise quarterback, while others wanted the team to take the most NFL-ready prospect in Carter.
One fan made the point that Carter is widely believed to be the best player in the class and that the Giants couldn’t pass that up.
“Carter… don’t overthink this. Yeah we need a QB but you don’t pass on arguably the best player in the draft if he falls to you,” said one fan.
Another fan highlighted Sanders’ character as the reason for taking him, stating that the player could handle the pressure that comes with playing in New York.
“I’m taking Sanders 1st over anyone. Take the guy who can handle NYC as a QB. Plain and simple. You don’t get guys often who have this level of talent and this level of aura to handle this city. Sanders can. May he be the 20th best player overall? Maybe. Doesn’t matter though.”
Perhaps the best comment, though, came from a fan who was suspicious of the post. After the team’s dismal recent history of decision making, “The Broadway Block” questioned the team’s motives for the post.
“Why does this feel like you’re actually asking for advice here?”

It remains to be seen which players will be available to the Giants when the team is on the clock in Green Bay, Wisc. One thing that remains certain, though, is that whatever decision the team makes will divide opinion among its fanbase.
