New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wison has played with and against a few cornerbacks since joining the team in 2022.

Garrett Wilson Opens Up About His Top Cornerbacks List

During the conversation, Garrett discussed the players who topped his best cornerbacks list, which raised a few eyebrows as he didn’t include a couple of big names.

Wilson said, “Pat Surtain tough bro, he a dog. I like [L’Jarius] Sneed, too, with Tennessee. We got one, we got one, that boy Sauce [Gardner] is the best in the league. You know, it just depends. It’s a tough question; for real, it’s tough. Oh, you know what? Let me give credit to one dude, though. Christian Gonzalez is raw, too, now. That boy can ball. Yeah, he’s solid.”

New England Patriots cornerback Gonzalez has been praised by the NFL world for his impressive playing abilities on the field.

The former Oregon Ducks star was picked by the Patriots in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft and has received praise for his performances.

While his rookie season was interrupted due to a shoulder injury, Gonzalez won the September edition of the Defensive Rookie of the Month honors.

After last week’s thrilling 28-22 win against Jerod Mayo’s New England Patriots, Rams head coach Sean McVay shared that the team decided to throw the ball away from him in the middle of the game:

“Gonzalez is the real deal, does an excellent job, and I think it worked out that way; there were some instances where we said, if you can avoid him, let’s go ahead and do that,” he said. “It’s always about your players first, our team, and then what are those match-ups.

“And if you have the opportunity to be able to stay away from certain things, then you want to be able to do that,” he continued. “But he’s a great player. I think it just kind of worked out that way. Then, there were some instances he was at the point of attack. All things being equal, if you had your choice, you’d say let’s stay away from him.”

The Patriots are set to play against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday in Week 12.
