Ever since singer Bad Bunny was announced as the Super Bowl halftime show act, there have been numerous voices, both pro and con, regarding his performance. The NFL chose the three-time Grammy-winning singer to perform at one of the most-watched events on television every year.
That choice hasn’t set well with a certain group of people, namely those closely affiliated with the late Charlie Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA. To counteract Bad Bunny’s performance, the organization is going to put on its own halftime show.
What Will Counter Bad Bunny At Super Bowl Halftime?
On Thursday, swimmer Riley Gaines announced in a post on X about Turning Point USA holding “The All American Halftime Show.”
Bad Bunny told Americans they had 4 months to learn Spanish if we wanted to understand the Super Bowl halftime show.
No thanks. We’ll just have our own. Enjoy your low-rated halftime show. pic.twitter.com/VjGkNrjS00

While the signer has not been named yet, several voices praised Gaines’ announcement and look forward to watching an alternative to Bad Bunny. One person wrote in a post on X, “for all my fellow Spanish speakers, we all know Bad Bunny doesn’t sing in Spanish, it is gibberish. Watch this instead. It will at least be in a language known to mankind.”
Another person had a simple five-word response to the Turning Point USA show being held: “Finally, the Good Bunny arrives.” This person pleaded for the “real men in America” to watch something different than the Super Bowl halftime show. Their post on X read, “If the real men in America did the right thing and didn’t watch the Mediocre Bowl in the first place things might actually change.”
Another supporter of the alternative halftime show encouraged people to tune into it. The person wrote, “If the Super Bowl halftime advertisers are smart, they’ll switch to the TPUSA halftime show. It’s going to be a banger for sure!”
As for this TPUSA fan, the person is encouraging some NFL advertisers to switch allegiances for the big game. This individual wrote, “I’ll be watching this more meaningful Halftime show by @tpusa! TPUSA needs to snag some on the @nfl Sponsors for their Halftime show.”
While these voices were speaking out in approval of TPUSA’s plans, there were other voices that didn’t want to see it take place at all. One person posted on X, “Unless you are able to air this on a national cable channel, this is going to flop like crazy.”
Another fan believes the Bad Bunny concert at halftime of the Super Bowl will bring in some heavy-duty ratings. This individual wrote, “I’d wager it will be the highest rated Super Bowl ever. Then when those numbers are released you’ll deny it. Pretend like your halftime show cost the NFL money. You forget it’s a global product…”

This fan, who will likely be watching Bad Bunny, had some pointed comments aimed at Gaines and TPUSA. The person wrote, “Have fun 5th Place. No one cares. You guys cried about Kendrick Lamar and it became the most watched Half-Time show in history. Canceled Kimmel? Best ratings ever. Frankly…having MAGA hate what you’re doing is good for business. – PS my Netflix stock is up.” These words were followed by five laughing-face emojis, too.
Well, this individual decided to share a little Spanish in their comments directed toward Gaines. The person posted on X, “It’s going to be one of the highest rated halftime events in Super Bowl history Riley. So aprende Español lo mas pronto posible, corazon.”
Finally, this person made a correlation between people boycotting the NFL and the amount of focus these individuals give to the league. The person posted on X, “For a group that’s boycotted the NFl about 4 times now yall sure give it a lot of attention”.
Only time will tell which show brings in a larger audience on Super Bowl Sunday.
