The wheels finally seem to be turning when it comes to a potential union between Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. After Rodgers’ meeting with the Steelers’ coaching staff at the team’s facility, there has been a growing sense of optimism that a deal will be done.
Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky has stated his belief that Pittsburgh will get their man, going as far as to call it “a done deal.”

Dan Orlovsky Believes Aaron Rodgers to Pittsburgh Is a ‘Done Deal’
After months of speculation — and, at times, frustration — Rodgers seems to be edging closer to signing with Pittsburgh. After the quarterback met with the team in March, there was an expectation that he would also then meet with the New York Giants.
But with no news of a meeting, the Giants then signed Russell Wilson, all but ending their involvement in the Rodgers situation. Yet still, there has been no announcement of a deal, despite both parties appearing to be out of other options.
In the opinion of Orlovsky, though, the lack of news means nothing, and the two sides have already reached an agreement. Orlovsky cited Pittsburgh’s history as a well-run franchise, stating that the team wouldn’t leave itself in a precarious position.
“I think it’s a done deal,” he said in a video posted to his social media. “It’s the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s as well historically run and respected as in-tune as there is.” Orlovsky went on to cast his doubts as to Pittsburgh’s apparent lack of control over the situation.
“I just refuse to believe that the Steelers, a month from the [2025 NFL Draft], don’t have a very clear plan, and confirmation, of who their quarterback is going to be.”

It’s easy to understand Orlovsky’s logic. But if the Steelers do have an agreement in place, they’re keeping it very well hidden.
Rodgers Spotted Practicing With DK Metcalf
As if the world needed another hint, the quarterback was recently seen practicing with new Pittsburgh wide receiver DK Metcalf. In a video reposted on X, the pair can be seen running plays together at UCLA.
Though Pittsburgh fans may be exhausted with the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Rodgers, the fact that he’s getting reps in with the team’s new receiver should be an encouraging sign.

As the clouds of uncertainty begin to evaporate, not only does the Super Bowl 45 MVP appear to be close to a deal with Pittsburgh, but appears ready to put in the work. While opinions are mixed on the Green Bay Packers legend, a motivated Rodgers would make the Steelers contenders in 2025.
I STRONGLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I live in Pittsburgh and just can’t believe the Steelers want a washed up clown. If he signs i will not be watching any games this year. The Steelers have lost all respect in the league.
