Jacksonville’s receiving situation continues evolving as Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers navigate their respective roles. Both receivers enter Week 11 with questions about their reliability as Brian Thomas Jr.’s status remains uncertain. Can fantasy football managers trust either Jaguars receiver this week?

Parker Washington Fantasy Outlook
Washington is coming off another great game for fantasy managers. He’s posted 17-plus fantasy points in two straight weeks, establishing himself as a reliable weekly option. His snap share has remained consistent around 87% over the past two games, providing full-time involvement.
Washington has commanded 26 targets over his last three games, creating a stable floor through sheer volume. Last week against Houston, he caught three of seven targets for 33 yards and a touchdown while also returning a punt for another score. The dual scoring ability provides weekly upside beyond traditional receiving production.

Washington will remain Jacksonville’s primary slot receiver moving forward. With Travis Hunter done for the season following knee surgery, Washington’s role is secure regardless of who else is healthy.
Fantasy managers should take Washington seriously as a weekly starter in PPR formats. His high target volume creates a stable floor even against challenging defenses. Washington offers intriguing upside and is worth rostering in all leagues according to multiple analysts.
Jakobi Meyers Fantasy Outlook
Meyers made his Jaguars debut last week after being traded just days before the Houston contest. He was largely covered by Derek Stingley Jr., one of the league’s elite cornerbacks. The combination of facing Stingley and his limited knowledge of the playbook can explain away his poor performance.
Meyers only played 43% of the snaps and saw just three targets in his debut. However, he did catch all of them for 41 yards, demonstrating his reliable hands and ability to contribute when targeted. Meyers would have also had a touchdown if a penalty hadn’t wiped it out, showing the scoring potential exists.

The former Raiders recevier should only improve in the coming weeks as he gains familiarity with Jacksonville’s offensive system. With more time to get acclimated to the playbook, he should have a bigger impact against the Chargers. Meyers gives the Jaguars the sure-handed receiver they’ve lacked throughout most of the year.
Should You Start Washington or Meyers This Week?
Concerns this week for both receivers are twofold. First, Thomas might return from a one-game absence due to his high ankle sprain. If he plays, he would immediately resume his role as the top option in Jacksonville’s passing game.
Even if Thomas doesn’t play, the matchup is not great for either receiver. The Chargers are a good defense overall and better against the pass than the run. Los Angeles allows the fifth-fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to wide receivers. They rank one spot better against both quarterbacks and tight ends, creating difficult conditions across the board.
This projects to be a game where the Jaguars try to lean more on Travis Etienne Jr. As three-point home underdogs, game script shouldn’t get away from them. Jacksonville will look to control the clock and keep Justin Herbert off the field rather than engaging in a shootout.
Washington is the safer option as his role is more defense-agnostic and less dependent on game script. Meyers likely should remain on benches, especially if Thomas returns. Trevor Lawrence is not good enough to support three fantasy-relevant pass catchers and even less likely to do it in an unfavorable matchup against the Chargers’ elite secondary.
