The Atlanta Falcons prepare for their Week 12 road matchup against the New Orleans Saints dealing with significant offensive uncertainty. Drake London left Sunday’s overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers with a knee injury and was quickly ruled out. Will fantasy football managers have their elite WR1 available this week?

Drake London Injury Update
London was ruled out during overtime after catching seven passes for 119 yards against Carolina. The quick decision to rule him out raised immediate concerns about the severity of the knee injury. However, early reports following the game provided some optimism.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday evening that London’s knee injury is “not thought to be overly serious” and that the wide receiver is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the damage.
Most encouragingly, Schefter noted the possibility that London “might not miss time,” representing the best-case scenario for Atlanta’s struggling offense. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport echoed that sentiment, reporting London is believed to have avoided a major knee injury.
The fact that multiple prominent insiders delivered cautiously optimistic reports suggests the Falcons may have dodged a significant blow.
With that said, London is out this week. Ian Rapaport reported that London will miss “at least” Week 12 with a sprained PCL.
This is actually devastating news. While all injuries are not created equal, this is the same issue that Ricky Pearsall had. He was supposed to miss 1-2 weeks and then missed nearly two months.
With Michael Penix Jr. likely done for the season and the Falcons having no realistic shot at the playoffs, there is a nonzero chance we’ve seen the last of London in 2025.
London’s Fantasy Outlook
London has been superb throughout the 2025 campaign. He entered Week 11 having posted three straight 100-yard receiving games and scored 18.9 fantasy points or more in each of his last three outings before the injury occurred. His consistency has established him as an elite WR1 option, making his potential absence a devastating blow for fantasy managers during the playoff push.
Beyond London’s own health, another major concern is Michael Penix Jr.’s status moving forward. The Falcons quarterback is expected to miss time after aggravating his knee injury from earlier in the season.
Penix exited Sunday’s game in the third quarter and did not return. That means the ghost of Kirk Cousins is set to make at least a couple of starts under center for Atlanta.

London is not an elite WR1 with Cousins throwing him the football, but he is still on the WR1/WR2 border when he is able to return to the field. The downgrade from Penix to Cousins significantly impacts London’s ceiling, as Cousins has struggled mightily this season and lacks the arm strength to maximize London’s downfield ability.
The Falcons travel to face the Saints in Week 12, with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 PM ET on Sunday, November 23. Fantasy managers should monitor practice reports closely throughout the week and have contingency plans ready in case London cannot suit up.
