Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 13: Deebo Samuel, Curtis Samuel, DeAndre Hopkins and more

With injuries and bye weeks taking their toll, let’s look at the latest WR injury report updates for fantasy football in Week 13.

Nothing can derail a potentially successful fantasy football season quicker than injuries. That’s especially true at the ever-so-critical wide receiver position, where elite-level players can make or break a contending fantasy team. As we head into Week 13, several WRs find themselves on the injury report for their respective teams. Therefore, fantasy managers need to pay close attention to any WR injury updates and reports as NFL kickoffs draw near.

Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 13 | AFC

In the middle of what has seemed like a brutal season full of injuries, these are the fantasy-relevant WRs in the AFC currently on the NFL’s Week 13 injury report. With some players trending in the wrong direction, fantasy managers might need to start considering secondary options.

Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans

Per the Texans’ injury report, Brandin Cooks (illness) is questionable for Week 13. Cooks recorded a limited practice Friday after missing the first two sessions of the week with a non-COVID-related illness. He is one of six Texans players listed on the injury report due to illness.

Chris Conley, Houston Texans

According to the Texans’ injury report, Chris Conley (illness) is questionable for Week 13. Conley followed the same schedule as Cooks, missing Wednesday and Thursday before recording a limited practice on Friday.

Corey Davis, New York Jets

Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports Corey Davis (groin) was a limited participant in Friday’s practice and is listed as questionable for Week 13. Friday was the first time Davis was able to practice all week after missing Week 12.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Davis likely won’t play more than a part-time role against the Eagles, if he suits up at all.

Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 13 | NFC

Which NFC wide receivers currently sit on the injury report ahead of Week 13? Who is in danger of missing their matchup this week, leaving fantasy managers in a difficult position?

DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals

DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is a game-time decision, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Hopkins was not spotted during the session of practice open to the media. Kingsbury downplayed his absence, stating the team wanted to be “smart” with handling his injury. Hopkins has entered each of the last three games labeled a game-time decision. Yet, he’s eventually been ruled out of each contest.

Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears

Per the team’s injury report, Allen Robinson (hamstring) did not participate during Friday’s practice. Robinson has yet to practice this week and is listed as doubtful for Week 13 against the Cardinals.

Marquise Goodwin, Chicago Bears

According to the Bears’ injury report, Marquise Goodwin (foot/ribs) is out for Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals. Goodwin was unable to practice throughout the week and never seemed close to playing.

Odell Beckham Jr., Los Angeles Rams

Update 12/05/2021: Ian Rapoport reported that Beckham is expected to play Sunday and be a bigger part of the offense.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said he would be surprised if Odell Beckham Jr. (hip) did not play on Sunday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reported.

Beckham Jr. was a limited participant on Wednesday before sitting out Thursday’s session as the team manages his reps. Indeed, USA Today’s Josina Anderson stated earlier in the week Beckham Jr. is dealing with a “hip pointer” injury near his SI joint.

Sterling Shepard, New York Giants

Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) is doubtful for Sunday. Unfortunately, Shepard has missed six of the last eight games, including the last three straight.

Kadarius Toney, New York Giants

Rosenblatt also reported Kadarius Toney (oblique/quad) is doubtful for Sunday’s game against Miami. He worked out with trainers on the side during practice, but it seems unlikely Toney will suit up.

Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Deebo Samuel (groin) is out for Week 13, which was the expectation after he was injured in Week 12. As a result, the 49ers and fantasy managers will need to adjust without the No. 2 WR in fantasy on their roster.

Curtis Samuel, Washington Football Team

Update 12/05/2021: Ian Rapoport reported that Samuel is expected to play today.

Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports Curtis Samuel is questionable for Washington’s Week 13 game against the Raiders. Per John Keim of ESPN.com, Samuel is expected to play for a second straight week. This was also reported by Rapo Additionally, his role will likely expand after he exited Week 12 with no further reaggravations to his ailing groin.
