Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 12: Marquise Brown, A.J. Brown, Curtis Samuel, and more

With injuries and bye weeks taking their toll, let’s look at the latest WR injury report updates for fantasy football in Week 12.

Nothing can derail a potentially successful fantasy football season quicker than injuries. That’s especially true at the ever-so-critical wide receiver position, where elite-level players can make or break a contending fantasy team. As we head into Week 12, several WRs find themselves on the injury report for their respective teams. Therefore, fantasy managers need to pay close attention to any WR injury updates and reports as NFL kickoffs draw near.

Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 12 | AFC

In the middle of what has seemed like a brutal season full of injuries, these are the fantasy-relevant WRs in the AFC currently on the NFL’s Week 12 injury report. With some players trending in the wrong direction, many fantasy managers might need to start considering secondary options.

Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens

Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports Marquise Brown (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns. After missing last week’s game, Brown was a limited participant in all three practices this week.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns

Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin) is questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. DPJ returned to the field on Thursday after missing Week 10 and has managed to close the week out with back-to-back limited practices.

Nico Collins, Houston Texans

Per the Houston Texans injury report, Nico Collins (hip) was a limited participant on Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 12. Collins was a new addition to the injury report on Friday.

Collins was a virtual non-factor last week, catching 1 of 2 targets for 9 yards. Yet, a penalty negated what would have been his first score in the NFL. Given his workload and apparent injury status, Collins likely should not be started in most fantasy leagues.

Corey Davis, New York Jets

Rich Cimini of ESPN reports Corey Davis (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans. Davis returned to practice Friday and was a limited participant. Jets head coach Robert Saleh stated earlier in the week Davis should be “ready to roll” on Sunday.

Ray-Ray McCloud, Pittsburgh Steelers

Teresa Varley of the Steelers’ official site reports the Steelers placed Ray-Ray McCloud (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.

A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Saturday [November 27] the Tennessee Titans are placing A.J. Brown on the injured reserve. On Monday, Rapoport reported Brown’s X-rays came back negative and also stated this is not considered a season-ending injury. Still, given the NFL protocols, Brown will miss at minimum the Titans’ next three games, making him eligible to return in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers due to Tennesse’s bye falling next week.

Brown suffered the injury last week against Houston and was forced to leave the game early. The Titans will move forward with Chester Rodgers, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Dez Fitzpatrick as their primary passing options as Brown joins Julio Jones (hamstring) on the IR.

Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 12 | NFC

Which NFC wide receivers currently sit on the injury report ahead of Week 12? Who is in danger of missing their matchup this week, leaving fantasy managers in a difficult position?

Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported on Monday that Falcons head coach Arthur Smith doesn’t have an update on Calvin Ridley’s status. Ridley was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list after he stepped away from football to focus on his mental well-being.

Sterling Shepard, New York Giants

Dan Salomone of the Giants’ official site reports Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) will be out for Week 12. Appearing in just two games since Week 3, Shepard again did not practice all week.

Kadarius Toney, New York Giants

Salomone also reports Kadarius Toney (quadriceps) is doubtful for Week 12. Toney did not record a practice all week and will likely be out against the Eagles. This leaves the Giants with Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton as top options for Daniel Jones.

Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Greg Auman of The Athletic reports Antonio Brown (ankle) will not play in Sunday’s game against the Colts in Week 12. Brown will miss the fifth straight game after injuring his ankle in Week 6 against the Bears. Prior to his injury, Brown was operating as the top target for Tom Brady.

Curtis Samuel, Washington Football Team

Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports Curtis Samuel (groin) was a limited participant in Friday’s practice. Samuel did return to practice last Friday, and despite being out for Week 11, has recorded four straight practices, albeit limited sessions.

He has an extra day to recover as Washington faces Seattle on Monday night. Samuel, who has been dealing with this same groin injury since the summer, has just 26 snaps all season.
