Tight End

Start

Vernon Davis, TE, Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys

Jordan Reed has been ruled out for Week 2 due to concussion-related issues. Vernon Davis will step in again after finding fantasy success in Week 1, hauling in four receptions on seven targets for 59 yards and one touchdown.

Davis gets a great fantasy football matchup this week against a Dallas Cowboys defense, who gave up 28.6 fantasy points to the New York Giants’ Evan Engram, the most by any tight end in Week 1. Davis is a high-reward selection in Week 2.

Sit

Jared Cook, TE, New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams

Jared Cook was targeted just three times in Week 1 where Drew Brees passed the ball 43 times in the Sunday Night matchup against the Houston Texans. Those targets put Cook fourth on the team filled with weapons.

Fantasy owners expecting Cook to produce like last season will be greatly disappointed. The New Orleans Saints offense runs through Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas, leaving Cook searching for scraps. The Los Angeles Rams’ defense is a tough matchup, so look elsewhere to fill your tight end spot in Week 2.
