Hopefully, your NFL fantasy football season is going as smoothly as you had imagined after drafting your roster. We have your back with wall-to-wall coverage, as it’s time to start turning an eye toward the playoff race. That includes the Week 14 fantasy football trade analyzer, where we break down key players to trade for and away.
Week 14 Trade Analyzer | Players To Trade For
The arrival of Week 14 means there’s no time left to waste. There are players with a value that is too low for their opportunity — it would help if you tried to swoop in and add these two players at a reasonable cost.
Brian Robinson, RB, Washington Commanders
We weren’t sure that Brian Robinson was even going to play against the Giants in Week 13, making Antonio Gibson look like a potentially smart play. However, Robinson did play and owned the backfield once again. He carried the ball 21 times for 96 yards and added two receptions for 15 yards.
It was his third time within the last month with at least 12 fantasy points. Now entering a bye week, some fantasy managers may be willing to offload Robinson. Only 30% of fantasy managers started him last week, and they were rewarded with a solid performance.
Robinson will return off of his bye in Week 15 to face the Giants once again. He then plays a more difficult 49ers defense before finishing the fantasy season against Cleveland. We don’t want to trade too much for Robinson, considering the difficulty of his schedule before facing the Browns.

In fact, he’s going to be considered a sit for at least one of these games. However, I want to see if a fantasy manager is willing to sell a little low for a player that is sure to get volume. Robinson could possibly swing a matchup because he’s the go-to player in an offense that is relatively good.
We’ll need some more touchdown production from Robinson to make him a fantasy star, but if you’re running back room is lacking a little, make a decent offer for Robinson. At worst, you’re looking at a strong Flex option for two of the remaining weeks of the fantasy season.
Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys
While I hate being late to trade for a player after they enjoy a breakout, we were waiting to see when Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Gallup would get more of a target share and valuable opportunities within the offense before trading for him.
Prior to Week 13, Gallup had not put together a starter’s-worthy stat line for fantasy managers. That changed with his two touchdowns against the Colts.
We knew Gallup and quarterback Dak Prescott would eventually get on the same page. He only caught four passes for 23 yards against the Colts, but two of those receptions were touchdowns. We can’t expect that to continue, but with seven or more targets in three of his last four games, Gallup is seeing a larger workload within the offense.
You can take Gallup’s higher or lower for props in this favorable matchup in Week 14 over on Underdog Fantasy, where you can include him on a Pick’em entry this week.
With upcoming games against weaker secondaries, acquiring Gallup now would ensure that you have him against Houston, Jacksonville, and Tennessee in Week 17. He should be a starter in most fantasy lineups for at least three of the next four weeks. That could include the most valuable matchup of all in your fantasy league championship.
Week 14 Trade Analyzer | Players To Trade Away
It’s also time to cash in on some players who’ve exploded in recent weeks but are unlikely to continue at that rate. That doesn’t mean these two players are bad or not worth having on your roster, but it’s worth exploring their trade value to see if you can land someone in a better situation to succeed through the remainder of the season.
DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
Trading DeVonta Smith away now is peak fantasy strategy.
It’s not surprising that Smith went off against the Titans, who rank among the bottom two pass defenses in the league. It was obvious Philadelphia would have success throwing to A.J. Brown and Smith, and both responded in a big way.
Smith had his second-best performance of the season, catching five passes for 102 yards and one touchdown. It was his second game with more than 87 yards this year. But with the Giants, Cowboys, and Saints coming in three of the next four weeks, Smith will be hard-pressed to put forth an effort that is starting worthy for your lineup.

Instead, we should expect Smith to be more of a mediocre Flex option than a bonafide starting receiver. I’d rather trade a player who is coming off an excellent performance in a favorable matchup than bank on his continued efficiency that we haven’t seen for much of the season.
Even as the WR21 on the year, Smith hasn’t been as good in the second half of the season as he was over the first six weeks. He’s as likely to produce 10 or fewer fantasy points as he is more. In fact, in his last six games, three have resulted in seven points or fewer.
Can you score a better starter with higher upside than Smith? That’s the question when exploring trades for Smith. If you can’t, it’s not worth trading him, but if possible, look to get the impact starter in return.
George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers
I could actually include trading for George Kittle within this piece as easily as I can for trading away. With Jimmy Garoppolo out for the season with a broken ankle, most fantasy managers won’t be keen on trading for Kittle. We’re hoping managers look at a remaining schedule that could not be more favorable.
Matchups against Tampa Bay, Seattle, Washington, and Las Vegas before the season ends is extraordinarily good. However, with Brock Purdy in the game, we saw Kittle be ignored within the 49ers’ passing offense.
Miami has notoriously struggled against tight ends but Kittle was invisible despite the mismatch. Kittle only caught two passes on three targets for 22 yards. It was the third week in the last month Kittle had 26 yards or less.
We can’t count on him for the remainder of 2022 to be a fantasy-relevant player. Instead, trade Kittle away to a manager who overvalues his name or banks on the potential of San Francisco signing Baker Mayfield to help boost Kittle’s value.
