In some leagues, the trading window is still open. If you’re one of the fortunate few, then capitalize on it by making some moves before the fantasy football playoffs that can help push your team into contention. The fantasy football trade analyzer is here to help guide your decisions and help your fantasy roster make it to the promised land.
Fantasy Football Trade Analyzer Week 13 | Two players to trade for this week
We’ll get started with a couple running backs worth targeting. In full disclosure, good luck acquiring any running backs at this point. With bye weeks and the number of injuries at the position, they’re hard to come by.
Phillip Lindsay, RB, Miami Dolphins
Playoff rosters need depth, and Phillip Lindsay is a cheap option to help bolster your RB stable. I’ve always thought that Lindsay was a good back, proving to be efficient and explosive as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos. This year, it’s been horrible for him in Houston. Fortunately, he’s getting a fresh start in Miami.
In his first game with the Dolphins, Lindsay saw a season-high 12 carries, which he took for 42 yards. It’s not much, but with how underwhelming Miami’s run game has been this year — they’re averaging the second-fewest rushing yards per game — Lindsay might get some work. You can probably pick him up off waivers at this point, or if he’s rostered, try to get him packaged in a deal as a throw-in piece.
Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers
From backup to superstar, let’s talk about Aaron Jones. Green Bay is on a bye this week, but they decided to play Jones last week, who was dealing with a sprained MCL. It was a questionable decision, and Jones was largely ineffective. He had 23 rushing yards and wasn’t targeted in the passing game.
That won’t continue. On the back of the poor performance and with Jones currently on bye, his fantasy manager might be looking for immediate help at the position and would be willing to move him for a RB playing this week. I’d be trying to trade for Jones for the playoffs if you feel confident in your ability to get there.
Fantasy Football Trade Analyzer Week 13 | Two players to trade away this week
I’m not even going to bother listing any running backs here because the position is a battlefield. Cling to your RB depth tightly. With the slew of injuries around the league, no position requires more roster depth and planning than RBs this year. Let’s look at a couple of wide receivers that could be moved, though.
DK Metcalf, WR, Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are a mess right now, and DK Metcalf is feeling it. Over the last three weeks, he has fantasy point totals of 4.1, 5.1, and 1.8, respectively. Woof.
This Russell Wilson-led passing game is in complete disarray. Tyler Lockett has been the only part that’s been working for the last two weeks, as he’s led the team in receiving yards. If you can flip Metcalf for a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 on his name value to a person thinking that he’s a “buy-low” candidate, do it.
Kendrick Bourne, WR, New England Patriots
Kendrick Bourne is almost silently posting a solid WR2 season, but I still would prefer not to have him on my fantasy roster. While the commentators keep making Jason Bourne “Bourne Identity” jokes, you should be looking to move the inconsistent wide receiver.
In Week 12, Bourne finished with 20.6 fantasy points in half-PPR scoring, in large part to his 2-touchdown performance. Bourne had only 3 touchdowns on the season before that showing and has scored 8.3 fantasy points or less in seven of 12 games this year. Sure, he has “boom” potential, but he also has lost fantasy managers plenty of matchups this year with his low floor.
