Top WRs To Start in Week 12
Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
It had been a while since we had last seen Puka Nacua put up a solid fantasy football performance. After finishing as the WR5 in half-PPR scoring formats back in Week 7, Nacua had failed to cross into the top 50 in the two games following.
Add on a bye week, and Nacua’s fantasy managers were starving for a decent showing. They certainly got it in Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks with five receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Moving into next week, though, Nacua may end up being even higher in the fantasy rankings, pending what news comes out regarding Cooper Kupp.
MORE: Early Week 12 Waiver Wire Pickups
Kupp left yesterday’s matchup against the Seahawks early and did not return, which is never a good sign for the player returning immediately the next week and operating at 100%. We’ll need to monitor the practice reports this week for news on Kupp, but even if he does make it back, he’s surely going to be limited.
In a positive matchup against the Arizona Cardinals secondary, Nacua could go back to seeing the type of production that he did over the first month of the season when he was the only show in town. He’s a solid start in Week 12.
Gabe Davis, Buffalo Bills
Yeah, this one’s going to take some convincing — I get it. It’s not easy to recommend a player who literally didn’t even show up on the box score in Week 11 because he didn’t register a single target. However, Davis belongs in your starting lineup as a Flex option at the very least in Week 12.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been picked apart by opposing passing games this season. Going into their bout with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, they’re allowing the second-most fantasy points per contest to wide receivers this year. A matchup like this is simply too favorable to let someone with Davis’ upside sit on your bench.
