Top RBs To Start in Week 5

Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders

We had been waiting for the moment when Josh Jacobs would get back on track this season and start performing the way that he did in 2022. While he certainly wasn’t all the way back to that in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers, it was encouraging to see a good performance from him.

He totaled 25 touches and finished with 139 total yards and a touchdown, which fantasy managers rejoiced to see. This could be the beginning of the Raiders starting to trust Jacobs again and feature him with a larger workload, so he’s back to being a locked-in top-10 option in my rankings.

James Cook, Buffalo Bills

Ladies and gentlemen, James Cook saw a goal-line carry! It finally happened!

While Cook’s been a solid fantasy asset up to this point of the season, he’s yet to receive the touches that truly matter for fantasy football where he can easily send his fantasy points skyrocketing, but that finally happened in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.

If this is a trend of things to come, Cook’s now going to be a top-10 option in my rankings moving forward.
