Early Fantasy QB Rankings NFL Playoffs: How should you approach Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes?

As managers transition to NFL playoff formats, who are the top QBs in our 2022 NFL playoff fantasy football rankings?

With redraft leagues over and champions crowned, the growing game of NFL playoff fantasy football gives us a few more weeks to enjoy filling out starting lineups. We kick things off with our 2022 NFL playoff fantasy football QB rankings. Which quarterbacks are more or less valuable than others due to the likelihood of making a deeper run in the playoffs?

NFL Playoff Quarterback Streamers

As we look towards the 2021 NFL playoffs, keep in mind players likely to play in multiple games. Even some of the best fantasy quarterbacks fall in our rankings as they are likely to be eliminated in the opening round.

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

Has Matthew Stafford thrown his fair share of interceptions? Absolutely. Has he also had one of the best statistical seasons of his career? Yes. He ended the regular season fourth in passing yards with 4,886 and completed 67.2% of his passes. Stafford threw 41 touchdowns, second-most in the NFL, and tied with his career-high (2011).

Steelers vs. Chiefs DraftKings DFS Picks: Best lineup includes Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Pat Freiermuth

Assuming the Rams get past the Arizona Cardinals, they will face the No. 1 seed Green Bay Packers. If it were anyone else in NFC, I would like their chances and boost Stafford but getting two games of production out of this high-flying offense is hard to turn down.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

No quarterback in the NFL had more rushing yards or touchdowns than Jalen Hurts, who carried the ball 139 times for 784 yards and 10 touchdowns. He ended the season as the No. 9 QB in fantasy scoring (20.8) and averaged 21.9 on DraftKings.

So why the No. 10 quarterback rankings for the 2022 NFL playoffs? It’s the path the Eagles face. While I do believe he can find success against the Buccaneers, that is also where I believe their season ends. The only quarterbacks I currently have ranked ahead of Hurts that could leave in the first round are Dak Prescott and Kyler Murray. However, because Prescott and Murray have better odds of advancing, they come in just ahead of Hurts in the 2022 NFL playoff fantasy football quarterback rankings.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

I did not think I would see Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers in the playoffs. But somehow, with a little bit of luck, they pulled it off. With that said, do not expect to see something similar to Super Bowl XL when Jerome Bettis, an all-time Steelers great, retired a champion. Roethlisberger has about four quarters left in his career — not four games.

Throw in the fact the Steelers face the two-time defending AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs, and Big Ben, averaging just 168.5 passing yards over his final four games with a touchdown to interception ratio of 3-to-3, and there is no way I could have Roethlisberger on my fantasy team or GPP lineup due to the low floor.
