The Top Kickers To Start in Week 2

Jake Moody, San Francisco 49ers (at Vikings)

On Monday night, there were plenty of storylines entering the game — Christian McCaffrey was a late scratch, Aaron Rodgers returned to the field, and that’s just the start. Nowhere on the agenda was San Francisco’s deadeye kicker, but he stole the show with six made field goals (four coming from 40+ yards).

He gets the benefit of the doubt surface-wise this week, and the Minnesota Vikings own the 11th-best red-zone defense, making this another potential volume spot for Moody.

Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers (at Panthers)

The game script isn’t always going to work in the favor of Cameron Dicker, but with the Panthers on the schedule, that should be the case on Sunday. Dicker has made 55 of his 58 career field goals, including a perfect 47-of-47 from inside of 50 yards.

His accuracy is as good as it gets, and in an offense that is happy to take any points when it can, Dicker should be viewed as an elite option both this week and moving forward.
