Week 5 Kicker Streamers

Here are a few kickers to consider streaming in your Week 5 lineups.

Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons

One of the best kickers of 2020, Koo has struggled to replicate his success in 2021. Much of that comes down to Atlanta’s struggles as an offense. Koo has done his job, connecting on all 5 of his field-goal attempts while remaining perfect on extra points (7).

The real problem? The Falcons are 27th in drive distance (28.1 yards), while only 31.1% of their drives end with points. In Week 5, they take on the New York Jets, who are coming off their first win of the season and are No. 31 in fantasy points allowed to kickers (11 points per game). Koo is a long way removed from his K2 finish of 2020, but he is an interesting streaming option in Week 5 and could have his first top-10 fantasy finish among kickers this week.

Greg Joseph, Minnesota Vikings

While the memories of his Week 2 miss are still playing in the minds of Vikings fans, Joseph is having a solid season. He is the K11 on the season (8.5 ppg), has attempted 7 FGs (tied for fifth-most in the NFL), and is perfect from 40+ yards (4). He is also 10-of-11 on extra points.

Joseph has posted a top-seven finish in 50% of his games this season. In Week 5, the Vikings take on the Detroit Lions, who rank 30th in points allowed to kickers. When streaming the position in fantasy, finding players facing bad teams in a dome is generally a recipe for success.

Chase McLaughlin, Cleveland Browns

On his fifth team in three seasons, McLaughlin seems to have found his rhythm with the Browns. He has not missed a kick yet, connecting on all 7 FGs and 9-of-9 XPs. In Cleveland’s Week 4 win, he converted from 48 and 53 yards, the latter of which was his third successful kick from beyond 50 yards. Through Sunday’s games, McLaughlin is the K7 in fantasy, averaging 9.5 points per contest.

In Week 5, the Browns head to LA to take on the Chargers in what could be a high-scoring game. The Chargers are 23rd in points allowed to kickers at 8.6 per game, placing McLaughlin on the streaming radar for fantasy in Week 5.
