Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith have been through a lot together, from their days at Alabama to their time with the Philadelphia Eagles. They were with the Crimson Tide when the program reached two College Football Playoff titles and now they’ve won a Super Bowl together.

On Sunday, the Eagles routed the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 to win only their second Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 59.

Fans React to Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith’s Emotional Moment

As the game ended and their team won, Hurts and Smith shared a brotherly moment on the sideline. Smith, teary-eyed, told Hurts, “I love you, boy. Way to keep this s**t going man. Hey, this ain’t our last time at this.”

Hurts responded, “It’s been a ride, man. You deserve it, bro. You deserve that. You deserve that. Embrace this s**t man. In your hometown. In your hometown.”

Smith grew up in Amite, Louisiana, just 73 miles from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, fans were in awe of the two as they flooded the comment section with their reactions.

“Brotherhood built on winning. Philly’s future is in good hands.” A fan noted.

“Well deserving. That comradery is what makes the team!” another fan echoed.

The two connected late in the third quarter of the Super Bowl, when Hurts’ 46-yard touchdown pass landed in the hands of Smith, who made the score 34-0.

“They both deserve it !!!!! Wonderfully played game !!!” a fan chimed in.

“Bro, you both deserve it🏆🦅💚🔥,” a fan said.

Hurts and Smith have been teammates at Philadelphia for the last four seasons. Before that, they played at Alabama during 2017 and 2018. While at Alabama, Smith caught 12 passes from Hurts for 213 yards and one touchdown.

“This is everything,” a fan commented.

    “Beautiful moment,” another fan wrote.

Smith won a Heisman Trophy at Alabama and was drafted No. 10 overall recruit by the Eagles in 2021. Meanwhile Hurts was benched in the 2018 national championship game (one they both won together), and transferred to Oklahoma, also ending up as a Heisman finalist.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, he was picked by the Eagles in the second round. After splitting time as a backup, he took his team to a Super Bowl win alongside his best mate.

Hurts was named the MVP of the game after completing 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also led the game in rushing with 72 yards and a score on 11 carries. Smith had four catches for 69 yards and one score.
