‘That’s Insane’ – NFL Fans Amazed by Patrick Mahomes’ Incredible Milestone After AFC Championship Win

Patrick Mahomes helped lead the Kansas City Chiefs to their fifth Super Bowl appearance in six seasons and made history in doing so.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game, sending the Chiefs to their third straight Super Bowl as they try to pull off a three-peat for the first time in NFL history. It was a big win for several reasons, as it was also the fifth time the Chiefs have reached the Super Bowl in the Mahomes era.

Fans React to Patrick Mahomes Reaching a Huge Milestone

Most people were focused on the possibility that Kansas City could win three Super Bowls in a row. It would be the first time in NFL history that a team pulled off that achievement.

Meanwhile, both Mahomes and kicker Harrison Butker made history in another way against Buffalo. With the win, both players qualified for their fifth Super Bowl with the Chiefs, making them the first players in NFL history to play in five or more Super Bowls before turning 30 years old.

“So blessed to have the greatest quarterback and greatest kicker in the NFL,” one fan commented.

“Let’s gooo. Butkicker hasn’t missed a fg or extra point since the bye and playoff pat just doing playoff pat things,” one fan added.

Fans continued to sound off in the comments on X.

“That’s so awesome. 2 very fine gentleman,” one fan wrote.

    “2 GoATs,” one fan commented.

    “GOAT stuff,” one fan added.

Mahomes will now look to further improve his standing in the GOAT debate with a win in the Super Bowl. This is Mahomes’ eighth season playing in the NFL and seventh as a starter. In those seven seasons, he has appeared in the AFC Championship Game every year and the Super Bowl five times.

Mahomes has already won three Super Bowls, and another at this stage of his career would put him even further in the conversation with Tom Brady as the greatest player of all time.

Brady had an incredible career, winning seven Super Bowls and appearing in 10 overall. However, it’s worth noting he did it over a 23-year career. If Mahomes gets to four wins in eight seasons, he gives himself a very real chance of passing Brady.

We will need to see how things play out in Super Bowl 59 in two weeks when the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, Louisiana.
