A former Miami Dolphins QB highlights his reasons for being intimidated by the Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow.

Joe Burrow is single-handedly pulling the Cincinnati Bengals toward the playoffs. The quarterback is having that effect not only with his on-field performances but with his mindset as well.

However, former Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick compared Burrow’s mindset to that of a serial killer. Fitzpatrick reached this conclusion after Burrow’s tremendous performance against the Raiders.

Ryan Fitzpatrick Likens Joe Burrow to a Serial Killer

Had Paycor Stadium been domed, Burrow’s five-touchdown performance against the Raiders would’ve blown the roof open. The 27-year-old equaled his career-best in the TD department while throwing for 251 yards.

However, after the game, Burrow’s picture sitting on the sideline bench looking sad went viral. This picture gave Fitzpatrick chills. “They blow out the Raiders today,” he said on his podcast. “He throws for five TDs. This guy like I think he is a serial killer. I really do. It was a joyless victory for him. He sat on the bench at the end. His expectations of himself and his team are so high. They’re not allowed to have any joy.”

The former Dolphins QB added that he believes that Burrow is the type of guy who would never be satisfied with his performance. However, he would still not want to be friends with Burrow.

“He’s an absolute killer,” added Fitzpatrick. “He is so intimidating to me. [I would] love to go shake his hand. But I don’t know what to say to him. I don’t want him to snap at me. I don’t want to do anything wrong.”

Like Fitzpatrick, several media members were also taken aback by the look on Burrow’s face after a historic game. “I looked upset?” Burrow asked the media and then clarified the reasoning behind his look.

“Yeah. Look, we played great on Sunday, but I’m not going to ignore when there are things that I feel like we could have done better. I could have handled it a little differently, but that’s how I was feeling,” said Burrow.

The Bengals will play their AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, in their Week 10 matchup on Thursday, Nov. 11.
